Touch takes a shot to the head. Verdune working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Verdune lands a left hand that snaps the head of Touch backwards. Verdune lands with a right to the head.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Verdune throws a shot from downtown. Touch moves away and avoids it. Verdune slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Yates tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Yates looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Yates throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Yates fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William Butler Yates. That's going to take a lot out of him. Spartan throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yates sees it coming and avoids it easily. Spartan throws a nice looking combination but Yates bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nice uppercut there from Spartan.

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryoto Lachida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Envidia Mata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mata comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sinner by Drowning Pool kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Envidia Mata struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 206.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Lachida pushes down on Mata's head and hops out. Mata looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Mata walks forward, straight into a front kick from Lachida. The fight stays on the outside here - Lachida looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Lachida scores with a jab to the jaw.

Mata is squirming around, avoiding Lachida's attempts to control the action. Lachida punishing his opponent with strikes. Lachida avoids the attempt from Mata to control. A nice elbow there by Lachida.

Ryoto Lachida dominated that round. The cut man is working on Envidia Mata's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Ryoto Lachida is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Mata doesn't manage to clinch there - Lachida circles away.
Lachida tries to clinch up but Mata circles away and keeps his distance. Mata throws a series of punches but Lachida moves out of range. Lachida scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Lachida throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Mata's head. Mata takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Lachida lands a head kick!
Mata avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Mata crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Lachida - the referee stops the clock and Mata gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Lachida. Mata manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Lachida throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mata blocks it with crossed arms. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Lachida obliges. Nice elbow from Lachida.
Lachida breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Lachida lands a head kick. Mata smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Mata shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Lachida manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Mata being controlled here momentarily.

Mata looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lachida closes the distance and pushes Mata back into the cage. Lachida wants to stall.

Mata will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lachida up against the cage.
Mata has hold of one of Lachida's legs. Lachida is fighting the takedown attempt but Mata gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Lachida counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lachida. Mata has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Lachida avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Lachida stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Mata manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lachida tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mata swats him away and circles back towards the center. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lachida swats away the attempt to clinch by Mata. Lachida misses with a series of wild punches.

Lachida blocks Mata's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom. Mata is squirming around, avoiding Lachida's attempts to control the action. Lachida thowing shots but they're missing. Mata tries to hold on but Lachida postures up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Lachida lands a heavy elbow. Ryoto Lachida is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Ryoto Lachida overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Mata wants to control but Lachida is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Envidia Mata. Well Lachida has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The fight moves into the clinch position. Tatov drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tatov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dezba clinches but Tatov breaks the clinch and Tatov counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Dezba looks gassed! Tatov throws a nice inside leg kick. Igor Tatov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tatov throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tatov drives through and clinches with Dezba against the cage.
