The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Ovechkin or perhaps it was just good defense by Dolbakov which made him look bad. Ovechkin scores with a hook. Ovechkin moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination. Dolbakov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ovechkin to score with a decent uppercut. Ovechkin misses with a few strikes there.

Despite being in the dominant position, Ivan Dolbakov just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Dolbakov tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. But no, Ovechkin has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Dolbakov but great work by Ovechkin. Ovechkin decides to take the fight back to the feet. Ovechkin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dolbakov looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Dolbakov circles away from the clinch attempt and Dolbakov counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Ovechkin is lucky that one didn't land flush. Alexander Ovechkin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ovechkin is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Ovechkin throws a right and a left that Dolbakov avoids nicely. Some wild striking there from Ovechkin.

Dolbakov misses with a takedown attempt - Ovechkin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Dolbakov fails in his attempt to clinch. Ovechkin stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Dolbakov. Dolbakov throws a head kick that misses. Ovechkin throws a series of strikes that have Dolbakov backpedaling.
Ovechkin lands a with a good body shot. Ovechkin tries for a takedown but Dolbakov circles away easily and Dolbakov makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Ovechkin really felt that one! Dolbakov shoots in and drives through. Ovechkin sprawls well. Ovechkin gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dolbakov has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ovechkin regains guard immediately. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Ovechkin is on top in guard.

A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Dolbakov swats away the attempt to clinch by Ovechkin. Ovechkin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Dolbakov scores a takedown into full mount! You get the feeling that Ovechkin really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Dolbakov cracks Ovechkin with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Vos misses. Nice defenses there by Vos. A jab from Petrov misses. Petrov gets a takedown into half guard. Vos is looking for a sweep. Petrov is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Vos manages to escape and get back to his feet! Vos looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Vos missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Petrov seems keen to control Vos's posture. Petrov is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Petrov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Vos counters with a nice double leg into guard. Petrov has momentary wrist control but Vos slips an elbow through the middle. Petrov is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Petrov is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vos wants to control from the top but Petrov keeps moving. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vos pushing down on Petrov's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Petrov is controlling Vos's position as best he can from this difficult position. Petrov wants to control but Vos is keeping busy.
Petrov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Vos on the ground. Petrov tries to roll over but Vos keeps him under control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Petrov is not content to let Vos control the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Petrov trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

Vos will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Vos doesn't succeed with the takedown and Petrov counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Vos jumps guard but Petrov stands there with Vos around his waist. Vos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Vos is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Petrov pulls him back up using the underhooks. Feliks Petrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Uli Vos. Petrov pulls guard. Petrov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Vos is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Petrov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Vos's back instead. Vos just trying to survive but Petrov is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Petrov is trying to stick to Vos's back but Vos is turning into Petrov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Petrov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Vos.

Vos closes the distance but Petrov moves to the side and Petrov counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Petrov gets to his feet - Vos follows without any prompting. Vos has his takedown stuffed and Petrov counters with a nice double leg into guard. Vos bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Petrov's guard. Vos advances to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vos trying to control from Petrov's half guard. Petrov has other ideas though and has regained full guard. Vos trying to control the position from guard on top but Petrov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Petrov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Vos is now in half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Alexandrov fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Medvedov shoots in for a takedown but Alexandrov shows good takedown defense. Medvedov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Alexandrov's waist but Alexandrov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Medvedov off to one side. Medvedov closes the distance and clinches up with Alexandrov, looking for a takedown. Medvedov pushes Alexandrov against the cage but Alexandrov circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
