Smith wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Molina takes a body punch but keeps moving. Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice straight punches there by Smith. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Smith. Smith throws a monster overhand right that drops Molina! Smith follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hart throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gringo. Gringo throws a nice looking combination but Hart bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Hart uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Gringo.
Hart gets the takedown into side control. Gringo tries to bench press Hart off him but Hart keeps the position. Hart postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Gringo can do anything to dispel that myth. Gringo is looking to regain half guard here but Hart keeps moving and retains side control. Hart in side control, throwing shots but Gringo defends. Hart controlling from side mount. Hart is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Gringo has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Gringo keeps control of Hart as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Gringo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Hart here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man. This has been an exciting period of action! Gringo misses with a double jab

Let's hope that Gringo has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Hart is squirming around, avoiding Gringo's attempts to control the action. Hart bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!

Gringo keeping moving, preventing Hart from controlling successfully. Gringo wants to stand and escape but Hart is having none of it. Gringo looking for a sweep. Not yet Gringo, not yet.
