1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tiago Sales! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Kenichi Hosakawa.

Sales's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Sales duly obliges. Sales fails in his attempt to clinch. Butkis tries to clinch up and Sales counters with a one-two to the body. Sales misses with a series of wild punches.
Butkis wants to clinch up but Sales keeps it at a distance.
Sales tries to keep at a distance but Butkis has taken the fight into the clinch. Sales changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Butkis fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Sales gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Sales pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Sales tries to clinch up but Butkis circles away and keeps his distance. Sales jabs Butkis right on the nose. Butkis blinks but takes it well. Sales connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Butkis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Sales swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Sales throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Butkis's waist but Butkis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sales off to one side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice takedown defense from Sales. No joy for Butkis on that attempt. Sales dives in and grabs Butkis's left leg, looking for a takedown. Butkis pushes down on Sales's head and hops out. EJ Butkis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Sales looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Sales is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Butkis pulls him back up using the underhooks. Sales tries to circle away but Butkis has him pinned against the cage. Sales avoiding damage as Butkis throws knees to the body.

Sales connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Butkis tries to clinch but Sales moves out of range. Butkis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Sales. Butkis throws a one two combo.
EJ Butkis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sales scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Perhaps he should improve his position first. Sales is fighting to break Butkis's control of his arms but Butkis is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Sales working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Sales slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Butkis keeping moving, preventing Sales from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Tiago Sales will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Tiago Sales's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Paladin ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Paladin tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paladin blocks a head kick by Fairtex.

That was a close round but I would say that Retri Paladin will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Fairtex in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. A chopping leg kick lands by Yamaki. Portgas shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Yamaki sprawls well. Yamaki wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Portgas gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ace Portgas. That's going to take a lot out of him. Yamaki throws a nice inside leg kick. Ace Portgas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A slapping leg kick lands for Yamaki.

Irvi takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Let's see if Poirot can do anything to dispel that myth. Poirot trying his best to control but momo has mounted him. momo thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Poirot is trying desperately to improve position. momo misses with a head shot.
momo is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Poirot is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Poirot flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. momo anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Poirot and secures both hooks! This could be bad! momo slips an arm under Poirot chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. momo has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. momo is squeezing on Poirot like an anaconda would it's prey. Poirot fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Butterball is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Persvako is just riding it out for now. Butterball eventually gives up the hold. Persvako is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Pekko Persvako will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
