Silva fails to land the takedown. Silva changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Fauber looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Silva working away. Fauber isn't going anywhere. Silva tries to advance to mount but Fauber denies him. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fauber sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Silva wants to stand up but Fauber is controlling the position.

Fauber wants to work for an arm triangle but Silva is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fauber bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Silva's guard. Fauber trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fauber throws a big right hand that misses. Silva looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Silva looking for a sweep. Not yet Silva, not yet. Silva keeping moving, preventing Fauber from controlling successfully. Fauber drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Fauber jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Silva not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Some bone on bone action there as Silva checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Silva moves out of range of the leg kick from Fauber. Silva gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Fauber counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Silva! Battaile Fauber has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wanderlei Silva. Silva tries to lock up and control but Fauber gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Silva wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Fauber.
Battaile Fauber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Silva blocking the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Battaile Fauber dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Fauber with a poor takedown and Silva counters with a takedown into side control. Fauber is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it. Silva stands up and we're back to a striking position. Fauber misses with a leg kick and Silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Fauber looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Fauber might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Fauber working a defensive guard here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Fauber can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Silva is looking to escape. Poor strikes thrown by Fauber there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Fauber with good strikes from the mount here! Fauber has hold of Silva's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Silva manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Silva is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Fauber sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Fauber wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Fauber. Silva wants to control but Fauber is having none of it. Silva is squirming around, avoiding Fauber's attempts to control the action. Silva tries to hold on but Fauber postures up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cake closes this distance looking for a takedown but Borneo circles away. Cake fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Borneo sprawls well initially but Cake persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Cake is trying to control. Borneo wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
