Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. crash punch has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, punch master! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, crash punch! The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! punch doesn't manage to clinch there - master circles away.
master is breathing heavily. master looks to land a combination but punch avoids it well. master avoids a punch combination nicely.
punch rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but master moves out of range and avoids them all easily. punch connects with a body shot. punch fails with a takedown attempt from distance. master swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and punch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. master closes the distance and pushes punch back into the ropes. master pushes punch back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. master gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. master is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. master trying to control the position from guard on top but punch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. master wanted to stand there but punch had control of the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. power breaks from star's wrist control and lands an elbow. star tries to get back to half guard but can't. power pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. power lands a big elbow. power with the ground and pound from mount. power scoring with strikes but star is staying in there. power is landing with some decent strikes but star is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. power lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. power looking to control but star is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. star tries to hold on but power pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. star is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

Frank keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cordova's head. Frank throws and elbow that misses. Cordova uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Frank's guard. Nice move by Cordova! Cordova wanted to stand there but Frank had control of the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frank pulls Cordova in close to his closed guard and prevents Cordova from doing any damage or advancing position. Cordova might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Frank looking to control.
Matt Cordova has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lu Frank is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Frank is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Swift lands a nice leg kick that just misses Stoudemire's sensitive parts. Stoudemire avoids the body shot from Swift.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Swift cracks Stoudemire with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Swift cracks a nice hook into Stoudemire's ribs. Swift sends Stoudemire crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Swift is motioning to the referee to let Stoudemire up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
It looks like Amare Stoudemire has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Good leg kick by Swift there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Swift drops Stoudemire with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Stoudemire! Swift dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
