Almeida kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Vater Unser. Kane has chosen Da Art Of Storytellin Pt 2 as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Uasay Almeida has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Uasay Almeida seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Almeida throws a right and a left that both miss. Almeida ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kane moves away. Almeida throws a hook to the side of Kane's head but Kane sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Almeida looks to land a right hand but Kane moved out of range. Almeida fails to land with a series of punches.
Almeida looks to land a combination but Kane avoids it well. Kane avoids a punch combination nicely.
Almeida digs a good body shot into Kane's ribs. Almeida misses with a wild combination.
Kane has taken the fight to the clinch.
Kane fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Almeida is looking to break free of the clinch but Kane has double underhooks. Almeida working hard to break the clinch. Kane jumps guard but Almeida stands there with Kane around his waist. Kane gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

It looks like Ronin Kane has been cut. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kane is defended easily by Almeida. Uasay Almeida has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ronin Kane. Almeida misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kane shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kane should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Kane looks gassed! Almeida will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

and Almeida counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
The cut above Ronin Kane's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Kane takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Almeida scores with a jab. It looks like Brent Young has been cut. Mayhem got a little sloppy there for a moment and Young has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mayhem has managed to get both his arms back between Young's legs - danger averted. Mayhem knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Young on the ground. Jimenez wants to stand but Sirovica is controlling his posture from full guard. Jimenez looking to pass the guard. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dahl moves in looking to clinch but Nogueira pushes him off. Dahl shoots for a takedown but Nogueira saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Zach Dahl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Excellent takedown into side control there by Nogueira. Nogueira working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Dahl manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Nogueira looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Nogueira wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dahl keeps working. Dahl is looking for a sweep. Nogueira is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Dahl gets full guard. Nogueira got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dahl has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nogueira has managed to get both his arms back between Dahl's legs - danger averted. Dahl working a defensive guard here.

Nogueira drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nogueira jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Dahl is trying to control the position but Nogueira postures up. Nogueira passes Dahl's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Nogueira is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Dahl doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nogueira. Nogueira is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Dahl is just riding it out for now. Nogueira eventually gives up the hold. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Dahl is not content to let Nogueira control the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Nogueira has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Dahl defend it? Nogueira steps over the head and cranks it - Dahl is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Nogueira!
