Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tanko Enevski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felix St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Felix St Pierre struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 136.5lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tanko Enevski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Felix St Pierre! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre pushing out the jab but it's not landing. St Pierre missing with a left hand there. Enevski was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Enevski could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Enevski shoots in but St Pierre avoids the takedown attempt easily. Enevski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. St Pierre tries to avoid it but Enevski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag St Pierre to the ground. St Pierre escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. St Pierre throws a looping overhand right but Enevski ducks down to avoid it. St Pierre looks to land a right hand but Enevski moved out of range. Enevski takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Horrible takedown by Enevski or perhaps it was just good defense by St Pierre which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tanko Enevski. That's going to take a lot out of him. St Pierre lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Enevski has time to react. St Pierre looks to score with a jab to the body but Enevski is just out of range. A swing and a miss from St Pierre. No luck with that takedown attempt from Enevski. Felix St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. St Pierre throws out a token jab with nothing on it. St Pierre shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Enevski is trying to defend but St Pierre finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. St Pierre is trying to work for a kimura but Enevski is defending well.

Enevski uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from St Pierre. St Pierre throws a hook to the side of Enevski's head but Enevski sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. St Pierre lands a glancing blow to the side of Enevski's head. St Pierre looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. St Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Enevski swivels though and keeps the full guard. St Pierre throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. St Pierre has gone for a leg lock! Enevski slips out almost immediately though and dives into St Pierre's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. St Pierre looking for a sweep. Not yet St Pierre, not yet. Enevski wants to stand but St Pierre is controlling his posture from full guard. St Pierre is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. St Pierre has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Enevski can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

St Pierre is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Enevski defends well. Enevski got a little sloppy there for a moment and St Pierre has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Enevski has managed to get both his arms back between St Pierre's legs - danger averted.

St Pierre escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Enevski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Felix St Pierre showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick lands from Derleth that sends mccabe to the canvas. mccabe tries to scramble back to his feet but Derleth brings him back down into side control.
It looks like josh mccabe has been cut. mccabe looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Derleth decides to stand up, so the ref orders mccabe to his feet. mccabe tries to keep at a distance but Derleth has taken the fight into the clinch. mccabe takes an elbow to the temple. Derleth utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! mccabe tries for a takedown. No joy.
Derleth pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. mccabe tries to keep at a distance but Derleth has taken the fight into the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Derleth holding his opponent close, against the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hoffman slips a straight right by Goodridge. Hoffman bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Goodridge is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Hoffman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Goodridge is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Hoffman is trying to land an Americana. Goodridge is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Hoffman has an Americana. Goodridge didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Hoffman is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Hoffman hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

Lucas will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Van Meester jabs at Lucas's body. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Lucas crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Van Meester - the referee stops the clock and Lucas gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Van Meester. Lucas manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. A nice inside leg kick there by Van Meester. That's going to slow Lucas down. Van Meester lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Lucas takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Van Meester thuds his shin into the meat of Lucas's side. Van Meester is looking to slow Lucas down with leg kicks. Van Meester shoots in but Lucas avoids the takedown attempt easily. Van Meester has Lucas up against the cage in a clinch.

Lucas is rocked! Van Meester looking to isolate an arm here. Lucas doesn't see it coming and as Van Meester extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Van Meester!

That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Teverdosky shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Rush manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Rush looking to control.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gerra. Gerra misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Diaz.

Gerra shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Diaz's guard. Gerra stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Diaz is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Gerra is looking for a sweep. Diaz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Diaz landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Gerra wants to improve his position but Diaz is controlling well.

Kayaku feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Kayaku looking to pass the guard. King seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kayaku got a little sloppy there for a moment and King has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kayaku has managed to get both his arms back between King's legs - danger averted. Kayaku tries to free his leg and advance position but King is retaining full guard. King wants to improve his position but instead Kayaku has moved into half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Watanabe. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Watanabe misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Barton tries to improve position but can't. Watanabe cracks Barton with an elbow. That is naaassty. Watanabe looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Barton is avoiding damage well.
