The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Patton looks for a takedown but Omen sprawls well. Patton shoots for a double leg takedown but Omen sprawls well. He's pushed Patton's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Omen keeps the fight on the outside. Patton scores with a crisp jab that stopped Omen in his tracks. Omen shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Patton counters by clinching up. Omen manages to break the clinch.
Patton takes the fight into the clinch. Patton tries for a takedown but Omen manages to get underhooks.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Patton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Patton keeps control of Omen as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Patton's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Omen misses with a takedown and Patton counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Omen has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramires throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Ramires uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Gnocci has time to react.
It looks like Marco Gnocci has been cut. Gnocci avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ramires will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gnocci shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Ramires napping and manages to drive through into side control! Gnocci throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Gnocci tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Gnocci has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Ramires is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Gnocci yanks on the arm and Ramires is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Gnocci.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fighters circling - Madison throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Madison slips a straight right by Carano. Madison lands a nice shot to the body.
Carano misses with a straight left. Madison jabs at Carano's body. Carano is breathing heavily. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Madison fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carano, pushing him back against the cage. A nice left hand lands by Madison.
Madison breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Madison throws a series of punches but Carano moves out of range. Madison closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Madison breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Madison. Madison gets in close and instigates a clinch. Madison escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Carano throws a hook to the side of Madison's head but Madison sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Carano avoids the head kick by Madison.
Madison tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Madison throws a head kick that misses. Madison rushes Carano and presses him up against the cage. Madison scores with a nice hook to the head. Madison lands a good knee to the midsection. Carano won't want to take too many of those. A nice right hand lands inside from Madison. That's two minutes gone in the round. Madison throws a sloppy head kick and Carano moves out of range easily. Madison ducks under a wild hook from Carano. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Madison misses with a head kick.
Madison keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carano. Madison moves out of range of the strikes. Madison moves out of range as Carano strikes. Madison throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The fighters circle momentarily. Carano darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Carano misses with an uppercut. Madison saw that one coming. Madison bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Madison walks into a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carano misses the jab. Madison throws a head kick but Carano moves out of range.

Carano should have avoided that one. Madison blocks a jab. An inside leg kick lands from Madison. Carano listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.

Madison gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Carano. Carano connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Carano lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. A punch lands to the side of Madison 's head but he takes it in his stride. Madison tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Carano paws at him with a jab and circles away. Carano is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Madison takes the fight into the clinch. Madison misses with a punch on the inside.
Carano tightens his grip and picks Madison up, before dumping him to the ground. Madison manages to land in guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Madison wants to get back to his feet but Carano is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Carano stands up over Madison, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Carano throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Madison works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Carano landing some decent shots from guard. Carano throwing strikes but missing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carano working some strikes from top position. Carano distracts Madison with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Carano in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Carano has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Madison wants to stand up but Carano is controlling him. Madison is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first. Carano lands a couple of elbows. Carano drops back looking for a leg! Madison is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Madison manages to kick Carano off! Carano jumps back into Madison's guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Carano prevents Madison from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Billy Madison dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Carano loads up on a big right hand but Madison slips the punch. Gino Carano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carano lands with a right hand. Carano misses with a looping left. Madison misses with a looping right. Carano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Carano connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Madison momentarily.
It looks like Billy Madison has been cut. Carano misses with a straight left. Madison ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Carano misses with an uppercut. Madison throws a nice head kick!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Carano cracks Madison with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Madison keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Carano. Billy Madison is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Madison takes a jab right on the kisser.
Carano throws a looping overhand right but Madison ducks down to avoid it. Madison takes one to the chin there. Carano is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Madison. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A big left from Carano misses. Carano misses with an uppercut. Madison lands a big head kick that sends Carano tumbling to the mat! Madison takes a step backwards and waves Carano back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Carano is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round. Carano drops his hands momentarily and Madison needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Carano just on the top of the head. Carano drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Carano - he's done!

Silver connects with a nasty looking knee right to Barca's face.
It looks like Hannibal Barca has been cut. Silver pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Silver lands a big knee! That's hurt Barca! Oh, he's all over the place! Silver lands another knee that sends Barca to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as CD walks away with a smile on his face. Mccaughan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. CD fails with an attempt to clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. CD wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. CD breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Mccaughan moves out of range of the body kick from CD.

Noah CD seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Mccaughan shoots in looking for a takedown. CD tries to sprawl out of it but Mccaughan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. CD manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. CD turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. CD tries to close the distance and clinch but Mccaughan swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. CD misses with a low kick. CD fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mccaughan, pushing him back against the cage. CD lands a body shot. Mccaughan using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
CD gets underhooks to prevent Mccaughan's takedown attempt.

CD lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. CD connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Noah CD is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Mccaughan blocks the body kick.
CD cracks the inside of Mccaughan's front leg. Mccaughan is breathing heavily. CD tries to land a front kick but Mccaughan steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. CD wants to clinch up but Mccaughan keeps it at a distance. CD lands with a kick to the temple. Mccaughan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! CD pulls out of a head kick attempt.
CD clinches up with Mccaughan and pushes him back against the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. CD with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Mccaughan tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. CD just stands there and leans against the cage. Mccaughan wants a takedown but no success here.
CD breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
CD throws a low kick but it's checked well by Mccaughan. CD looks to score with a jab to the body but Mccaughan is just out of range. Mccaughan takes one to the side of the head.
Mccaughan checks a low kick from CD. A combination from CD does no damage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Mccaughan blocks a low kick nicely. Mccaughan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by CD.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Noah CD dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Mccaughan looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. CD loads up on a big right hand but Mccaughan slips the punch. CD tries a low kick but Mccaughan avoids it. Mccaughan moves out of range of the body kick. Noah CD seems to be getting the better of the standup. Mccaughan clinches up against the cage. This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Mccaughan. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Mccaughan has CD pressed against the cage, preventing CD from circling away and getting back to striking at range. CD breaks from the clinch.
Mccaughan shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has CD pinned against the cage. CD gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mccaughan has taken the fight to the clinch.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hansen fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Hansen shoots in for a takedown but Pointek shows good takedown defense. Left hook, right uppercut from Pointek. Hansen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mike Pointek has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marcus Hansen. Pointek throws a lazy right hand but Hansen sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Pointek scores with a jab. Hansen walks into a jab. Pointek connects with a looping right hand.
Pointek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Hansen shoots in for a double leg but Pointek sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Pointek slaps away a takedown attempt from Hansen, before circling back to the center of the mat. Pointek throws a head kick that misses.

Hansen is trying hard to land a takedown here. Pointek sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Hansen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Pointek pinned against the cage. Pointek gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Hansen shoots for a double leg takedown but Pointek sprawls well. He's pushed Hansen's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Pointek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. Pointek got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hansen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pointek has managed to get both his arms back between Hansen's legs - danger averted. Pointek's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Pointek prevents Hansen from improving his position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pointek looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Hansen tries to roll over but Pointek keeps him under control. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pointek stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pointek fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hansen. Pointek connects with a good right hand that stumbles Hansen. Hansen circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Nice shot by Pointek. Hansen sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pointek lands a really nice looking cross but Hansen seems unphased.
Pointek lands a lovely overhand right. Pointek throws a quick inside leg kick. Oooh a lovely combination from Pointek sends Hansen down but not out. Pointek dives into side control looking to finish. Hansen is still in real trouble! Can Pointek finish him? Hansen is looking for a sweep. Hansen seems to have recovered his senses.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pointek has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Hansen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Pointek. Pointek misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Marcus Hansen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hansen tries to score a power double leg takedown but Pointek sees that one coming and sprawls well. Hansen shoots in but Pointek avoids the takedown attempt easily. Hansen has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. Pointek turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pointek lands with a cross. Pointek cracks Hansen with an open hand slap. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's got his arms around Pointek's waist but Pointek gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hansen off to one side. Hansen moves out of range of the strikes. Pointek lands with a kick to the temple. Hansen shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Pointek stuffs the takedown attempt from Hansen. Hansen gets slowly back to his feet. Hansen fails to land the takedown. Pointek lands with an uppercut that bounces Hansen off the cage and back into rage. Pointek throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hansen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hansen dives in and grabs Pointek's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pointek pushes down on Hansen's head and hops out. Pointek works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Pointek throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Oooh a lovely combination from Pointek sends Hansen down but not out. Pointek dives into side control looking to finish. Pointek tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Hansen is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Pointek is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Pointek controlling from mount. Hansen manages to regain half guard. Good work. Mike Pointek is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pointek has picked Hansen up and slammed him! Hansen can't keep hold of the triangle and Pointek manages to pass to side control!
