The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reid leaves Maia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Maia shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Maia tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reid swivels and escapes. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Excellent takedown into side control there by Gracie. Sanchez is looking to reverse the position. John Darnielle has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of SD Plissken. Darnielle lands an elbow inside. Plissken is trying to drag Darnielle to the mat but Darnielle just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Darnielle comes over the top with an elbow. SD Plissken's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Persson shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Persson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Nice defenses there by Persson. Jackson throws a leg kick which misses Persson's front leg but catches the back leg as Persson tries to avoid it. Persson tries to move into range but Jackson moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jackson throws a right and a left that both miss. Jackson lands with an uppercut that bounces Persson off the cage and back into rage.
It looks like Fredrik Persson has been cut. Jackson throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Persson sees it coming and avoids it easily. The fight moves into the clinch position. Jackson lands a right hand that snaps the head of Persson backwards. Persson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Jackson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jackson works Persson's body with a nice hook. Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Jackson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Persson on the side of the head.
Persson is rocked! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jackson throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Oh Persson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Persson is breathing heavily. Jackson drops Persson with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Persson! Jackson dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

St James doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jorge. Jorge has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. St James is squirming around, avoiding Jorge's attempts to control the action. Jorge has control of St James's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and St James regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jorge working for a guillotine from mount but St James is in no mood to give up. Jorge has hold of St James's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and St James manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Nelson Gracie! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Daniel Cesar and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aldo is looking to clinch. Aldo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Gracie sprawls well. Gracie wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Aldo gets slowly back to his feet. Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aldo pinned against the cage. Aldo gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Aldo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Gracie to the mat! Gracie manages to get full guard. Aldo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aldo has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted. Gracie pulls Aldo in to control the position. Aldo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Aldo defends easily.
Aldo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Gracie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Aldo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gracie trying to control the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gracie tries to get to full guard but Aldo has control of the leg. Gracie is staying active underneath Aldo, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Gracie is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Aldo is tapping! Great win for Gracie!
