The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mara shoots in for a takedown but Disisto shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Mara lands a nice leg kick that just misses Disisto's sensitive parts. Mara gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mara lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
It looks like Mike Disisto has been cut. Disisto wants to break free but Mara has control.
Mara tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Disisto wants a takedown.
Mara lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Matthews tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kylos swats him away and circles back towards the center. Matthews is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Matthews moves in looking to clinch but Kylos pushes him off. Matthews scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Roberto Kylos has been cut. Matthews pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kylos walks forward, straight into a front kick from Matthews. Matthews throws a head kick but Kylos moves out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kylos showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Matthews working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kylos. Kylos slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kylos wants to control from the top but Matthews keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kylos cracks Matthews with a solid left hand. Kylos seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Kylos has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kylos scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Kylos sitting in guard here, content to control. Matthews tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kylos not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kylos looking to sit in guard and control but Matthews gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kylos seems keen to control Matthews's posture.
Despite being in the dominant position, Roberto Kylos just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kylos uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
It looks like Glenn Matthews has been cut. Glenn Matthews is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Matthews on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Matthews is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Kylos shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Matthews's guard. Kylos scoring with punches to the head and body. Kylos landing with the ground and pound. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Matthews tries to get out of the position. Matthews avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Kylos is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Kylos chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Smith, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lessnar misses with a double jab.

It looks like Joe Smith has been cut. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lessnar fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Smith avoids it really well and circles away. Lessnar moves into range and clinches up with Smith. A right hook to the body lands for Lessnar.
Smith looks gassed! Lessnar ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lessnar no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Lessnar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Smith has his hands clasped together but Lessnar extends an breaks Smith's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Lessnar.

Redwood goes for an armbar but Scott turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Scott. Redwood wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Scott gets to his feet. Redwood looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Scott throws a head kick that misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Scott is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Redwood. Redwood has managed to clinch.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Travis Pastra! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pastra shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Carlos Jr but Carlos Jr pushes him off and we're back to square one. George Carlos Jr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Carlos Jr lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Carlos Jr circles away from the clinch attempt.
Pastra changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carlos Jr tries to avoid it but Pastra manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carlos Jr to the ground. Carlos Jr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Carlos Jr throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pastra changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carlos Jr tries to avoid it but Pastra manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carlos Jr to the ground. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Pastra wants to clinch up but Carlos Jr keeps it at a distance. Pastra fails with the takedown and Carlos Jr counters with a right hand to the body. Carlos Jr is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Carlos Jr throws a wild body kick that Pastra sees coming a mile off. Pastra tries to clinch but Carlos Jr moves away and Carlos Jr counters with a shoot takedown. Pastra fights it but they end up in guard. Carlos Jr decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Pastra, up you get!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pastra moves forwards but Carlos Jr connects with a nice, crisp jab. Carlos Jr has managed to clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Carlos Jr breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Carlos Jr stalks Pastra and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Pastra's face. Pastra staggers backwards, shaken. Carlos Jr scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Pastra had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Carlos Jr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pastra. Carlos Jr throws a head kick that half lands.

Carlos Jr's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carlos Jr tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Carlos Jr connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Pastra momentarily.

Cutinha is trying to stick to Peter's back but Peter is turning into Cutinha. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Cutinha's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Peter. Peter postures up in Cutinha's guard and throws a big left but Cutinha blocks it. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Peter is in close to Cutinha's body, working some short punches and elbows. Peter connects with a couple of short punches. Cutinha is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Peter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Cutinha is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Cutinha has escaped and now he's on top! Peter keeping moving, preventing Cutinha from controlling successfully. Cutinha stays in close to Peter's body and controls the position.

Cutinha remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Peter will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Cutinha biding his time here by controlling the hands, looking to escape. Cutinha rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Peter has his hands clasped together but Cutinha extends an breaks Peter's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Cutinha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Torquemada shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Duncan defends it nicely. Torquemada shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Duncan sprawls well. Duncan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Torquemada gets slowly back to his feet. Torquemada shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Duncan's guard. Torquemada trying to control but Duncan is working from the bottom. Torquemada preventing the sweep. Torquemada wants to control from the top but Duncan keeps moving. Torquemada stopping the sweep attempt from Duncan. Torquemada thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Torquemada shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Duncan as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Xavier Torquemada. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Torquemada or perhaps it was just good defense by Duncan which made him look bad. Duncan throws a right and a left that Torquemada avoids nicely. Duncan misses with the combination.
Duncan throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Torquemada decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Torquemada is thwarting Duncan's attempts to control the position. Torquemada trying to control the pace. Torquemada is trying to control the action in half guard but Duncan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Torquemada is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Duncan! Torquemada looking for a guillotine from mount but Duncan is having none of it. Duncan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Torquemada. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Torquemada prevents Duncan from getting the reversal. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Duncan defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Torquemada. Torquemada sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Duncan is squirming around, avoiding Torquemada's attempts to control the action.

No, Duncan has worked his arm free - good work by Duncan!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Duncan can do anything to dispel that myth. Torquemada misses with the ground and pound. Oh, that's hurt him - Torquemada falls to the canvas and Duncan follows him into side control.

Pardo is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Starr is controlling him. Starr drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Starr seems to have locked his on tight now - Pardo screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Starr, as he picks up the win!
