Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Devon Destroyer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mick Outbackerson! The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Outbackerson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Outbackerson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Destroyer will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Destroyer walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Outbackerson checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Destroyer throws a wild body kick that Outbackerson sees coming a mile off. Destroyer moves in looking to clinch but Outbackerson pushes him off. Outbackerson moves out of range of the strikes. Destroyer fails to land with a series of punches.
Outbackerson checks a low kick from Destroyer. Destroyer works the jab nicely. Destroyer throws a nice looking combination but Outbackerson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Destroyer bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Outbackerson's head backwards. A nice inside leg kick there by Destroyer. That's going to slow Outbackerson down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Destroyer fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Outbackerson manages to avoid it. Devon Destroyer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Outbackerson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Outbackerson throwing shots from mount but they're not landing. Outbackerson trying to control but Destroyer is having none of it. Outbackerson working the ground and pound effectively.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Outbackerson blocks a jab. Destroyer misses with a series of wild punches.

Outbackerson fails to land the takedown. Destroyer tries to clinch but Outbackerson moves out of range. Outbackerson circles away from the clinch attempt.
Destroyer throws an overhand right that lands on Outbackerson's shoulder, as Outbackerson tries to avoid the shot. Destroyer loads up on a big right hand but Outbackerson slips the punch. Destroyer misses with a two punch combination.

Outbackerson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Destroyer is trying to defend but Outbackerson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Outbackerson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Destroyer makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Destroyer. The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Destroyer looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Destroyer! Outbackerson is breathing heavily. Destroyer is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Outbackerson is trying to improve his position. Destroyer decides to stand back up. Destroyer steps back and let's Outbackerson get back to his feet. Destroyer throws a head kick that misses. Outbackerson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Destroyer sprawls well. Destroyer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Outbackerson gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Horrible takedown by Outbackerson or perhaps it was just good defense by Destroyer which made him look bad. Devon Destroyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Outbackerson. The fight moves into the clinch position. Destroyer will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Outbackerson up against the cage. Destroyer seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Destroyer is trying to maintain a safe position but Outbackerson gets an underhook and turns Destroyer into the cage.

Outbackerson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Destroyer just stands there and leans against the cage. Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Destroyer obliges. A right hook to the body lands for Destroyer.

Devon Destroyer dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Destroyer lands with a shot to the body. Outbackerson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Outbackerson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Destroyer sneaks out the side door and pushes Outbackerson away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. Outbackerson swats away the attempt to clinch by Destroyer. Destroyer gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Outbackerson to score an easy takedown into full guard. Outbackerson stops Destroyer from standing up. Outbackerson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Destroyer preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Outbackerson drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Destroyer manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Outbackerson has Destroyer in his guard. Destroyer decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Outbackerson, up you get! Outbackerson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Destroyer's waist but Destroyer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Outbackerson off to one side. Destroyer doesn't manage to clinch there - Outbackerson circles away.
Outbackerson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Devon Destroyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mick Outbackerson. Destroyer throws the kick towards the body but Outbackerson avoids it. Destroyer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sutton keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A slow jab from Soliman misses its intended target. Sutton tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Soliman swivels and escapes. Sutton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sutton tries for a takedown but Soliman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for JJ Sutton. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sutton shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Soliman napping and manages to drive through into side control! Sutton working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bones napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jones tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Jones has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Bones get back to his feet. Bones throws a right hand that Jones ducks under and follows up with a left that Jones also avoids with ease. Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bones. Bones moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off. Jones throws a head kick but Bones moves out of range.
Bones rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jones moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Bones is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones.
It looks like Geronimo Bones has been cut. Geronimo Bones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bones throws a left and a right that both miss
and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Bones. Jones takes the fight into the clinch. Bones wants a takedown.

Shepard tries to bum rush Lesnar with a series of wild strikes but Lesnar uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lesnar throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Fedor Lesnar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lesnar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Shepard swivels and escapes. Lesnar fails in his attempt to clinch. Shepard tries to keep at a distance but Lesnar has taken the fight into the clinch. Shepard has Lesnar pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Lesnar manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lesnar struggles to land a body shot inside as Shepard controls his hands.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mamumbo connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Mir momentarily.
It looks like Frank Mir has been cut. Mir pushes Mamumbo up against the cage in a clinch. Mir stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Mamumbo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mir just stands there and leans against the cage. Mir misses with a knee strike.
Mir drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mamumbo pulls his leg out and moves away.
This has been an exciting period of action! Mamumbo has a takedown stuffed. Mir moves out of range as Mamumbo strikes. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Mamumbo lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Mir has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Mir and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Mamumbo tries to clinch but Mir moves away and Mir counters with a good low kick that Mamumbo was not able to check. Mamumbo wants to clinch but Mir slips to the side and Mir counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Mir slips under a jab. Mir clinches with his opponent.
Mir is working for takedown but Mamumbo is calmly controlling the position for now. Mamumbo goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mir prevents it.
Frank Mir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Elion Mamumbo.

and Dodger counters with a shoot takedown. Kemp fights it but they end up in guard. Dodger tries to free his leg and advance position but Kemp is retaining full guard. Kemp will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kemp wants to stand and escape but Dodger is having none of it. Dodger wants to pass the guard but Kemp is keeping the position. Dodger is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! El Toro misses with a wild body shot. Welker dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Welker misses with a wild body shot. Ceaser El Toro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Welker throws the left hand but El Toro avoids the punch easily. Welker tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Welker cracks El Toro with a right hand to the side of the head. Welker instigates a clinch. El Toro stalling the fight.
