The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newton lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Newton throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lancelot.
Lancelot connects with a nice looking jab.

It looks like Eric Newton has been cut.
Newton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Newton tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lancelot was well out of range. Poor timing from Newton.
Newton throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Lancelot misses with a body shot.
Newton tries a head kick but it misses.
Newton doesn't manage to clinch there - Lancelot circles away.
Lancelot looks to land a combination but Newton avoids it well.

Lancelot fails to land with a series of punches.

Lancelot scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Newton takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Newton drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Lancelot throws a combination. Newton tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Jefferson Lancelot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Lancelot throws an uppercut from hell that sends Newton clean off his feet! He's out cold! Lancelot stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eldridge is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Law.
Eldridge tries a low kick but Law avoids it.
Law swats away the attempt to clinch by Eldridge.
Law lands with a nice combination. Eldridge backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Michael Eldridge has been cut.
Law looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Eldridge swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Eldridge fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Eldridge on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No joy there for Law, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Law goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Law will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Eldridge thows a huge punch but Law dodges it nicely.
Eldridge thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Law to regain full guard.

Law has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eldridge can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Law had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Eldridge is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Law Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Eldridge's back instead.

Law is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Eldridge defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Law working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Eldridge doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Eldridge manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Law bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Eldridge's guard.
Law will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Law works to advance to full mount. Eldridge defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Law is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Eldridge has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

Law is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Eldridge knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Eldridge for a finish.

Law is trying to stick to Eldridge's back but Eldridge is turning into Law. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Law's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Eldridge.

That was a close second round but I would say that The Law will probably get the nod.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
