The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Penn scores with a takedown into Meogy 's guard. Penn tries to free his leg and advance position but Meogy is retaining full guard. Penn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Meogy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Penn is one step ahead there. Penn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Meogy swivels though and keeps the full guard. Meogy looking for a sweep. Not yet Meogy , not yet. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Meogy misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Horrible takedown by Meogy or perhaps it was just good defense by Penn which made him look bad. Nice sprawl there from Penn as Meogy shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mr Meogy . That's going to take a lot out of him. Meogy tries for a takedown but Penn sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Meogy shoots in for a takedown but Penn shows good takedown defense.
That's one minute gone in the round. Penn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Meogy sprawls well initially but Penn persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Penn is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Meogy defends it well. Penn trying to pass the guard but Meogy defending well. Penn is working for a submission of some sort.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Meogy is looking to control Penn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Meogy avoid being mounted? Meogy is concentrating on defense, preventing Penn from advancing position. Penn tries to pass the half guard into mount. Meogy knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Penn is trying to work for a kimura but Meogy is defending well.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Penn shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Meogy napping and manages to drive through into side control! Meogy gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Penn is looking to advance position but Meogy won't allow it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meogy manages to get to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Meogy is on top in guard.
Meogy advances to half guard. Penn is trying to get back to full guard. Meogy is trying for a kimura here. Penn looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Meogy wins by kimura!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Persbrandt slips a jab and a cross from Brown.
Brown looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Brown takes a swing at Persbrandt's ribcage but misses. Brown looks to land a combination but Persbrandt avoids it well. Persbrandt changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brown tries to avoid it but Persbrandt manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brown to the ground. Brown escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Brown tries to clinch up. Brown fails in his attempt to clinch. Brown missing with a left hand there. Persbrandt was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Brown misses with a jab, cross combination.
Persbrandt scores a takedown into full mount! Persbrandt looking to finish Brown with some ground and pound. This is bad for Brown! Brown is trying to stand up. Persbrandt controlling from the full mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Persbrandt. Persbrandt takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Persbrandt won't let Brown get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Persbrandt stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Brown blocks a head kick by Persbrandt.

Persbrandt closes the distance and pushes Brown back into the cage. Persbrandt takes a knee to the side of the body. Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Persbrandt jabs Brown right on the nose. Brown blinks but takes it well. Brown wants to clinch but Persbrandt slips to the side and Persbrandt counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Brown wants to get back to his feet. Persbrandt not doing much here.
Brown pushes Persbrandt off looking to stand but Persbrandt dives back in and keeps control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown manages to escape and get back to his feet! Brown throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
so Persbrandt counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Persbrandt won't allow Brown to get back to his feet. Persbrandt wants to control from the top but Brown keeps moving. Persbrandt prevents Brown from getting back to his feet. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Persbrandt's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Brown has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Persbrandt off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Brown throws a right and a left that both miss. Persbrandt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Persbrandt is pressing down on Brown's thigh, looking to free his foot. Brown is holding on for now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Persbrandt really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Persbrandt throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Brown makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brown misses with a double jab
and Persbrandt counters with a shoot takedown. Brown fights it but they end up in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brown wants to stand up but Persbrandt is controlling him. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Persbrandt lands a couple of digs. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brown throws a combination that misses and Persbrandt counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Persbrandt goes for a takedown attempt but Brown pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Persbrandt is looking to take a break and control but Brown is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Brown is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Persbrandt tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Persbrandt has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Brown is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Persbrandt decides to take the fight back to the feet.

and Persbrandt counters with a shoot takedown. Brown fights it but they end up in guard. Persbrandt stops Brown from standing up. Persbrandt scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Brown keeping moving, preventing Persbrandt from controlling successfully. Brown wants to stand and escape but Persbrandt is having none of it. Persbrandt with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Brown has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Persbrandt off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Persbrandt throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Brown's waist but Brown gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Persbrandt off to one side. Persbrandt tries to clinch but fails miserably and Brown counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Brown wants to break the clinch but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown digs a right hand underneath Persbrandt's ribcage. Persbrandt let out a lung full of air as it connected. Brown breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Brown throws a shot from downtown. Persbrandt moves away and avoids it. Brown throws a right hand that Persbrandt ducks under and follows up with a left that Persbrandt also avoids with ease. Brown tries to clinch but Persbrandt moves away and Persbrandt connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Persbrandt shoots in and drives through. Brown sprawls well. Davvon Brown has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jocke Persbrandt. Brown rushes Persbrandt and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Brown breaks the clinch.
Davvon Brown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brown forces Persbrandt back against the cage and clinches. He's pushed Persbrandt's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Brown instigates a clinch. Persbrandt jumps guard but Brown stands there with Persbrandt around his waist. Persbrandt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Brown lands a good knee to the midsection. Persbrandt won't want to take too many of those. Brown has had enough of the clinch but Persbrandt keeps him there for the moment. Brown pushes Persbrandt back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Persbrandt jumps guard but Brown stands there with Persbrandt around his waist. Persbrandt gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Brown wants to stand but Persbrandt is controlling the position.

and Persbrandt counters with a takedown into side control. Brown is pushing Persbrandt's head away, looking to escape. Persbrandt manages to hold on to the position though. Brown takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brown is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Persbrandt is controlling him well. Persbrandt working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Brown pushes Persbrandt away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Persbrandt gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Brown tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck. Brown trying desperately to get to his feet.
Davvon Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Brown is squirming around, avoiding Persbrandt's attempts to control the action. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Brown tries to buck Persbrandt off but he can't manage it. Jocke Persbrandt is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
And that's the end of the fight! Jocke Persbrandt comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Persbrandt winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Ordway sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though. Ordway is looking to improve his position.
Ordway makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ordway. Ordway looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ordway looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Moores tries to free his leg and advance position but Ordway is retaining full guard. Moores sitting in guard, not really doing much. Ordway looking to hit a scissor sweep but Moores is one step ahead there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Blaze Moores dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Moores looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Moores performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Ordway is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Moores has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Ordway is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

He's hooked one of Moores's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Moores's back! Moores manages to reverse the position and now he's in Ordway's guard. Nice work there by Moores.

Ordway rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Moores moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Ordway scores with a three punch combo!

No joy there for Watkins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Rodriguez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Watkins throws out the jab. Rodriguez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Matt Rodriguez has been cut. Watkins misses with a wild body shot. Watkins tries to close the distance and clinch but Rodriguez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Watkins shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Rodriguez pinned against the cage. Rodriguez gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Watkins swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Lee shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Marko sprawls well. Marko wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lee gets slowly back to his feet. Marko uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lee.
Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Marko sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Marko shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Marko is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
