The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Drudge looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Purcell swats away the attempt to clinch by Drudge.
Drudge tries to clinch there but Purcell circles away.
Drudge tries to close the distance and clinch but Purcell swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Drudge takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Purcell misses with a double jab.
The fight stays on the outside here - Drudge looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A slapping leg kick lands for Purcell.
Drudge is looking to clinch but Purcell is avoiding it.

letting Purcell counter with a right hand.
Drudge will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Purcell lands a huge takedown. Drudge is out but the ref is slow to react and Purcell lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Drudge lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Buttridge trying to control the hands but Salek won't let him.

Salek has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Buttridge's body.

Rob Salek dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Salek forces Buttridge back against the cage and clinches.
Buttridge is looking to break free of the clinch but Salek has double underhooks.
Salek gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Buttridge struggles to land a body shot inside as Salek controls his hands.

Salek breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Buttridge pushes Salek away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Salek gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Salek decides to stand back up.
Salek throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Buttridge's waist but Buttridge gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Salek off to one side.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Salek scores with a nice body kick.
Salek throws a head kick that misses.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Buttridge checks a leg kick.

and Buttridge counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Buttridge.

Buttridge stands up and waves to Salek to follow him.

Salek clinches with his opponent.
Salek lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Buttridge backwards.
Salek scores a nice knee to the body.
Buttridge tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Salek smiles and moves away.

Buttridge fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Salek avoids it really well and circles away.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Salek.
You can see the frustration on Buttridge's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Garry Buttridge has got the better of the ground game so far.
Buttridge might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Salek kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Salek stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Salek has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Buttridge is proving hard to escape from.
Garry Buttridge has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Rob Salek is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Buttridge throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Salek escapes and throws Buttridge's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Well Salek has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Chonin is trying to drag Garcia to the mat but Garcia just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Chonin tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Garcia counters with a nice double leg into side control. Chonin won't be happy with that.
Chonin sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Chonin is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd cheers as Chonin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Garcia doesn't seem phased though.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Garcia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Chonin tries to land a front kick but Garcia steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Garcia feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Chonin has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Garcia should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Chonin has tightened it up now! Garcia should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
