Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Zu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Connor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rage Against The Machine - Know Your Enemy kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! On his way into the cage it seems that Zhang Zu has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Zhang Zu seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Connor tries to clinch but Zu moves out of range.
Zu cracks the inside of Connor's front leg.
Connor shoots for a takedown but Zu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A head kick from Zu lands but Connor takes it in his stride.
Both fighters circling a little - Zu finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Zu thumps Connor with a low kick.
Nice body kick there by Zu.
Connor looks gassed!
Zu throws a head kick that half lands.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Zu throws a quick inside leg kick.
Zu misses with a wild body shot.

It looks like Matt Connor has been cut.
Zu throws a front kick that sends Connor stumbling back into the cage.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zu throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Connor.
Connor takes a head kick and keeps coming.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Zu! Connor is out on his feet! Zu rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Connor is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Connor is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.

Velasquez shoots in for a takedown but Pike shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Velasquez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pike tries to avoid it but Velasquez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pike to the ground. Pike escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Velasquez shoots in for a double leg but Pike sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
