The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez throws a push kick but Costa slaps the foot to one side. Sanchez looks to land a combination but Costa avoids it well. Sanchez looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Costa has managed to clinch.
Costa has clasped his hands together around Sanchez's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sanchez wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Costa postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

That was a close second round but I would say that Adao Iuri will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Adao Iuri's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Alexander utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Alexander wants to stand and escape but Iuri is having none of it. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Alexander lands with an uppercut that bounces Iuri off the cage and back into rage. Iuri circles away from the clinch attempt and Iuri counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Iuri.

Alexander tries to clinch but fails miserably and Iuri decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Alexander's guard. Alexander is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Iuri scoring with punches to the head and body. Alexander is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Alexander working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Iuri doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. And that's the end of the fight! Jack Shepherd comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Shepherd has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
