Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Girts Rozentals (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Carey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Girts Rozentals! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Tom Carey! The judges for this bout are James Glass, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rozentals misses with a body kick. Tom Carey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Rozentals moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Rozentals pushes Carey up against the cage in a clinch. Rozentals leaning his opponent against the cage. Rozentals gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Carey.
Rozentals wants to get back to striking at distance but Carey won't allow it.
Carey wants to break the clinch but can't.
Rozentals breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Rozentals lands with a nice combination. Carey backs away looking to recover. Carey is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Rozentals. Rozentals comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Carey shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Rozentals defends it nicely. Carey looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Girts Rozentals has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Carey.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carey clinches but Rozentals breaks the clinch and Rozentals decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Carey's guard. Rozentals is stalling in the full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rozentals trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carey's guard. Rozentals has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Rozentals gets to his feet. Carey looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Rozentals swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Carey. Rozentals throws a body punch but Carey moves out of range. Rozentals lands a nice shot that snaps Carey's head back.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carey throws and low kick but Rozentals moves out of range easily. Carey looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Carey with a poor takedown enabling Rozentals to counter with a crisp jab. Rozentals connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Rozentals has managed to clinch.
Rozentals is trying to break free. Rozentals tries to circle away but Carey has him pinned against the cage. Carey drags the fight down to the ground.
Rozentals is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Carey is working an open guard so Rozentals takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Carey instigates a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rozentals gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Carey wants to hit a switch here but Rozentals passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Carey there! Rozentals controlling the pace for now. Rozentals's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Girts Rozentals dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Carey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rozentals counters with a lovely straight right hand! Carey on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Carey gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Rozentals to score an easy takedown into full guard. Rozentals seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Rozentals tries to stand but Carey is controlling from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rozentals controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Rozentals stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Rozentals content to stall in guard here. Rozentals won't allow Carey to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carey wants to stand but Rozentals is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rozentals wants to stand but Carey has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rozentals lands a glancing blow to the side of Carey's head. Rozentals scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Carey lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Rozentals is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Carey slips a jab and a cross from Rozentals.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Rozentals tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Carey smiles and moves away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Carey wants to clinch but Rozentals slips to the side and Rozentals counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Rozentals. Rozentals tries to break the clinch but Carey is controlling the position. Carey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Carey misses with an uppercut. Rozentals saw that one coming. Rozentals lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Carey doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Rozentals counter with a right hand. Rozentals scores with a nice right hand.
Rozentals goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Girts Rozentals is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Rozentals scores a takedown into full mount! Rozentals tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rozentals stands up and beckons Carey to join him on the feet. Carey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rozentals cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. The fight moves into the clinch position. Rozentals looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Rozentals manages to pull guard.
Rozentals on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Rozentals tries to get out of the position. Rozentals trying to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carey looking to sit in guard and control but Rozentals gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rozentals stops Carey from standing up. Rozentals is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Rozentals stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Carey shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Rozentals counters with a shoot takedown. Carey fights it but they end up in guard. Carey takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Carey is trying to keep Rozentals in close.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Rozentals stands up and waves to Carey to follow him. Carey doesn't succeed with the takedown and Rozentals moves into the clinch. Girts Rozentals has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tom Carey. Carey can't break the clinch.

Rozentals tries to break free but Carey pushes him back against the cage. Rozentals breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Carey shoots and misses and Rozentals cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rozentals shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rozentals was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Rozentals controlling his opponent.
And that's the end of the fight! Girts Rozentals showed his dominance in that final round. Well Rozentals has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vitti throws a nice looking combination but dirk bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. dirk feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. dirk looking to pass the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. dirk trying to control but Vitti is working from the bottom. Vitti is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst dirk is controlling him. dirk trying to control the position from guard on top but Vitti is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. dirk looking to sit in guard and control but Vitti gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vitti accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. dirk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Vitti is one step ahead there. dirk is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Vitti stuns dirk with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Vitti misses with a double jab.
dirk dives in and grabs Vitti's left leg, looking for a takedown. Vitti pushes down on dirk's head and hops out. dirk fails to land the takedown. Vitti scores with a three punch combo!

The fighters land in half guard but dirk regains guard immediately. Vitti keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of dirk's head. Vitti is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. dirk postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vitti to stand up. Vitti keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. dirk is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Vitti takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Vitti shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vitti showed some decent athleticism there. Vitti takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. dirk wants to improve his position but Vitti is controlling well.

Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! dirk in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.

Vitti will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Vitti scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. dirk is refusing to be controlled, as Vitti sits in half guard. Vitti is thwarting dirk's attempts to control the position. Vitti working dirk over with strikes. Rodrigo Vitti is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Vitti perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

And that's the end of the fight! Rodrigo Vitti comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Vitti has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Russel tries to bum rush Schibetta with a series of wild strikes but Schibetta uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Russel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Schibetta. Schibetta misses with a takedown attempt - Russel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. A left and a right from Russel both land. Nice combination. James Russel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Russel rushes Schibetta and presses him up against the cage. Russel effectively controlling the action here. Schibetta is trying to break the clinch but Russel is controlling him.

Schibetta no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Russel trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Russel trying to control but Schibetta is working from the bottom. Russel is working Schibetta over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Russel with a flurry of punches that miss. Schibetta keeping moving, preventing Russel from controlling successfully. Schibetta throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Russel is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Schibetta has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Russel is looking to defend but Schibetta has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Russel! Schibetta pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Russel taps out and this one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chambers clinches. Chambers lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Chambers trying to control the pace. Chambers throwing shots but Litton is blocking nicely. Litton wants to get back to full guard. Chambers lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Chambers thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Litton's head. Chambers thows a huge punch but Litton dodges it nicely.

Litton is fending him off so far but Chambers persists. Nope, Litton circles away and we're back to standing. Chambers shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Litton sprawls well. Litton wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Chambers gets slowly back to his feet. Litton looks to clinch and Litton takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Chambers throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Chambers tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Litton counters with a straight right hand. Litton tries to clinch but Chambers is having none of it. Litton shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Chambers lands a jab to the nose. Litton loads up on a big right hand but Chambers slips the punch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Litton misses with a straight left. Chambers fails with the takedown and Litton counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Bobby Litton has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Chambers. Chambers looks gassed! Litton walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Chambers checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Chambers moves out of range of the leg kick from Litton. Chambers lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
