Peixoto had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. cro cop is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Peixoto Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take cro cop's back instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Peixoto is looking to control cro cop but cro cop is wriggling around and keeping busy.

Peixoto is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged cro cop with him. cro cop is trying to defend but Peixoto has an arm under the chin now! cro cop grimaces and is forced to tap out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shuman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hats as he avoids it easily.
Hats tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shuman swats him away and circles back towards the center.
No luck for Hats with that takedown attempt.

Hats is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Hats lands a left and a right that send Shuman crashing to the mat, dazed. Hats thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

A big right followed by a crushing left from Hats knocks Shuman out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!

Wilson thows a huge punch but Haseesh dodges it nicely.

Wilson wants to work for an arm triangle but Haseesh is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Oh Wilson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Haseesh throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Wilson.

Wilson seems to have got his legs back now.
Haseesh lands a jab.
Haseesh scores with a crisp jab that stopped Wilson in his tracks.
Haseesh has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Haseesh pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Haseesh scores with a hook to the body. Wilson takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.

Wilson on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Haseesh lands a big right hand that sends Wilson crashing to the mat! Haseesh stays standing though and waves Wilson back to his feet!
Wilson shoots in and drives through. Haseesh sprawls well.
Haseesh cracks Wilson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Wilson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Haseesh pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Wilson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Omar Haseesh!
