Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Blanket Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kuli Feia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bad. Feia is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Roots Bloody Roots. Kuli Feia told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Feia scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Jackson is trying to control Feia's posture but Feia avoids it. Jackson is trying to improve his position. Feia working the ground and pound from side control. Jackson is looking to regain half guard here but Feia keeps moving and retains side control. Jackson gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Feia landing strikes from the mount. Jackson is squirming around, avoiding Feia's attempts to control the action. Jackson is trying to escape the mount.
Feia is working for a guillotine from mount but Jackson frees his head quite easily.
Jackson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Feia trying to pass the guard but Jackson defending well. Jackson looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Feia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Jackson is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jackson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Feia is aware though and is defending well. Feia makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Feia wants to control from the top but Jackson keeps moving. Jackson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Feia is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jackson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Feia's back instead. Feia can't escape the position.

Jackson is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Feia is defending well though. Jackson let's go of the attempt for now. Feia trying to control but not successfully. Jackson has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Feia! Can he survive? No! He's out! Jackson gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Powell throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Vieira looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Vieira swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Powell looks to throw the jab but Vieira is out of range. Powell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Powell misses with a hook. JR Powell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Powell tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Powell misses with a jab, cross combination.

Powell has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Powell throws a body punch but Vieira moves out of range. Powell clinches up against the cage. Powell scores a takedown into full mount! Powell throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Powell stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Vieira, as that shot connected.
Vieira is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Powell throws a body punch but Vieira moves out of range. Braulio Vieira is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Powell tries to clinch but Vieira moves out of range. Powell tries to clinch but Vieira is having none of it. Powell takes one to the chin there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Vieira lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Powell circles away quickly and effectively. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sirovica walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Schulte cracks Sirovica with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Schulte connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Schulte scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Sirovica fails with the takedown. Sirovica gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Schulte with a nice cross. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Schulte looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Sirovica!
Sirovica is rocked! Schulte trying to control but Sirovica is having none of it. Oooooh, big shot lands for Schulte! Sirovica is hurt baaadly! Schulte is firing away with more strikes - Sirovica is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A head kick from Vaughn lands but Henderson takes it in his stride. Henderson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Vaughn as he avoids it easily. Vaughn misses with the combination.
Henderson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Henderson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Henderson throws out a powerful jab. Vaughn gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vaughn is on top in guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCarthy moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Rimsky throws an overhand right that lands on McCarthy's shoulder, as McCarthy tries to avoid the shot. McCarthy wants to clinch up but Rimsky keeps it at a distance. McCarthy lands with a thumping leg kick.

Rimsky scores with a decent looking elbow strike. McCarthy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rimsky is one step ahead there.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. McCarthy takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
McCarthy is rocked! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Rimsky sees an opening and throws a straight punch right through McCarthy's defenses. It connects perfectly with McCarthy's jaw and knocks him out cold! Wow - that's a contender for knockout of the year - absolutely brutal!
