The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as King backs up against the cage.

It looks like Nathan King has been cut.
Hansen pushes King away with a front kick.

King shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Hansen but Hansen pushes him off and we're back to square one.

No joy there for Hansen, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Hansen counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps King thinking.

Hansen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Smythe has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Smythe and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
