The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
de Jong leaves Bravo with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bravo throws an overhand right that lands on de Jong's shoulder, as de Jong tries to avoid the shot.

Chevalier pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Alexidon was done - good stoppage!

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Simon Sez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thomas Hook (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sez comes to the cage accompanied by Let the Beat Build. Hook has chosen Teenage Wasteland/ Baba O Reily as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Simon Sez had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Sez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Sez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Hook darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Sez moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Sez has his foot on Hook's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hook works his way back into a safe position though.

Hook stands up from Sez's guard - Hook perhaps looking for a knockout.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hook lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Sez has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Sez and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hook lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Hook darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Hook tries to stand and escape but Sez is controlling the position.

Hook stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Hook breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Hook.
Hook lunges at Sez with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Sez's hand.
Hook lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Hook closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sez to the mat! Sez manages to get full guard.

Sez is looking for a triangle here but Hook uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Hook decides to stand up, so the ref orders Sez to his feet.

Hook jumps into guard, dragging Sez to the mat.
Hook is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Sez is controlling him.

Hook feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Hook throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Sez was covering up waiting for the punch and Hook finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well Hook has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gill crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Conway - the referee stops the clock and Gill gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Conway. Gill manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Conway dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Gill. That did some damage!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Conway! Gill is out on his feet! Conway rushes in and throws more strikes.
