Yo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pass Out. Nigal comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Cannibal Corpse - Death Walking Terror kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Gota Yo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jack Nigal's chin.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jack Nigal! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nigal throws a sloppy head kick and Yo moves out of range easily. Yo has closed the distance and engaged Nigal in a clinch.
Yo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Yo is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body. Yo is pressed up against the cage. Nigal has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Yo down to the mat. Yo avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Nigal throws a right and a left that Yo avoids nicely. Yo tries a low kick but Nigal avoids it. Nigal takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Nigal tries to clinch and Yo counters with a three punch combo that has Nigal backing up. Nigal nods at Yo to acknowledge the strikes. Nigal shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Yo but Yo pushes him off and we're back to square one. Nigal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Yo avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Gota Yo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Nigal.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nigal pulls guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nigal looking to control.
Yo wants to get up but he can't break Nigal's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Nigal looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Nigal looks gassed! Nigal looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Yo's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Nigal checks the leg kick. Yo circles away from the clinch attempt and Yo counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Yo misses with a low kick. Yo fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Nigal counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Nigal throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nigal tries to pass the half guard into mount. Yo knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Nigal seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Nigal lands with a punch from half guard. Nigal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Yo is just riding it out for now. Nigal eventually gives up the hold. Yo is trying to stand back up but Nigal is controlling him

Nigal thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Yo's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nigal postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Yo to stand up. Nigal throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yo's waist but Yo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nigal off to one side. Yo tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Nigal is looking to clinch. An inside leg kick lands from Nigal. Yo throws a lazy head kick and Nigal counters by clinching up. Nigal looking for a takedown. Nigal tries to clinch up and Yo counters with a lovely shot to the body. Nigal fails to land the takedown. Yo throws a leg kick and Nigal counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Nigal is standing up over Yo. Yo looks to escape but Nigal dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Yo pushes Nigal away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Nigal gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Check out the look on Nigal's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Nigal decides to stand back up. Nigal steps back and let's Yo get back to his feet. Yo swats away the attempt to clinch by Nigal. Nigal tries to clinch there but Yo circles away.

and Nigal counters by clinching up. Nigal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Nigal shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yo as he jumps to the side. Yo fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Yo wants to land a leg kick but Nigal is out of range. Nigal misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Yo misses with a double jab
and Nigal counters with a two punch combo.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Jack Nigal. I think Nigal has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! D fails in his attempt to clinch. Dick avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
D moves in looking to clinch but Dick pushes him off. Billy D seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. D moves into range and clinches up with Dick. Dick tries to break free but D pushes him back against the cage. D tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Dick avoids it. Dick is looking to break free of the clinch but D has double underhooks. D is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dick is defending well for now. Dick wants to get back to striking at distance but D won't allow it.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! natraul drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. natraul cracks Comun with a solid left hand. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as natraul accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. natraul throws and elbow that misses. Comun uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in natraul's guard. Nice move by Comun! natraul wants to sweep but no luck. Comun trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. natraul trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Comun wanted to stand there but natraul had control of the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Comun tries to close the distance and clinch but natraul swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. natraul avoids the head kick by Comun.

Comun thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. natraul wants to sweep but Comun has passed to side control! natraul is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Comun is one step ahead and moves to full mount! We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if natraul can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's one minute gone in the round. Day has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sloan is proving hard to escape from. Sloan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Sloan has his foot on Day's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Day works his way back into a safe position though. Humphrey Sloan overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sloan keeping moving, preventing Day from controlling successfully. Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sloan shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Day holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Sloan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Day shoots for a takedown but Sloan saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Sloan looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Day is fending him off so far but Sloan persists. Nope, Day circles away and we're back to standing. Sloan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Day's waist but Day gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sloan off to one side. Sloan doesn't succeed with the takedown and Day counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Day. Day gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sloan is concentrating on defense, preventing Day from advancing position. Sloan wants to control but Day is keeping busy and won't allow it. Sloan is positioning himself well to prevent Day advancing to mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sloan with a poor takedown and Day counters with a body kick that stops Sloan in his tracks momentarily. Day fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sloan shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Sloan wants to free his trapped foot but Day is holding on for dear life with his legs. Charlie Day has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Day looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, if Sloan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Humphrey Sloan. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sloan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Cross paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
