Wilson is looking to regain half guard here but Hansen keeps moving and retains side control. Hansen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Wilson, who protects the arm well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pearse wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pearse connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Pearse looks to score with a jab to the body but White is just out of range. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Oh, that's unlucky for White but great work by Pearse. Both fighters are breathing heavily. White tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Pearse presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Pearse takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Pearse closes the distance but White moves to the side and White counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Pearse blocking the ground and pound attempt from White. Pearse pushes White off looking to stand but White dives back in and keeps control.
White wants to pass to mount but Pearse is defending the position. Pearse wants to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pearse has one foot on White's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Pearse throws a nice outside leg kick. White shoots for a takedown but Pearse saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Pearse tries to bum rush White with a series of wild strikes but White uses good footwork to avoid the assault. White throws a body punch but Pearse moves out of range. Pearse lands a nice looking body shot.
Pearse darts in and clinches White up against the cage. Pearse is pushing White up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Pearse escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pearse, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
