2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ivan Illianenko! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tante tries to bum rush Illianenko with a series of wild strikes but Illianenko uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Illianenko fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tante sprawls well initially but Illianenko persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Tante wants to improve his position but Illianenko is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Illianenko is looking for a kimura but Tante is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Illianenko to get the leverage. Tante lands with a few short shots to the body. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Illianenko connects with a nice short shot to Tante's temple. Illianenko tries to pass to full mount but Tante defends it. Illianenko with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Tante tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Tante tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Illianenko is keen to just control but Tante is a slippery customer. Illianenko content to control rather than advance. Tante punching from the bottom.
Illianenko winds up and cracks Tante with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Tante throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Illianenko. No joy there for Tante, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Illianenko moves out of range of the body kick. Illianenko stuffs the takedown. Tante is breathing heavily. Illianenko rushes Tante and presses him up against the cage. Illianenko turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Illianenko manages to end up in side control. Illianenko has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Illianenko closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Illianenko lands in his opponent's guard. Illianenko landing with the ground and pound. Tante keeping moving, preventing Illianenko from controlling successfully. Illianenko seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Illianenko is pushing down on Tante's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tante is fighting to maintain full guard but Illianenko has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Illianenko seems content to control. Illianenko trying to control the action but Tante is working from the bottom. Illianenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Illianenko frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Illianenko pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Illianenko is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Illianenko extends the arm and Tante is forced to tap!

Wilson kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Alice In Chains- Them Bones. Alvarado is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Get Back Up. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson throws a nice looking combination but Alvarado bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Alvarado takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Alvarado looks gassed! Wilson digs a good hook to Alvarado's body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Alvarado blocks a head kick by Wilson.
Wilson scoring well with a low kick there.
Wilson cracks Alvarado with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Wilson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Alvarado to stand back up!
It looks like Marco Alvarado has been cut. Wilson closes the distance looking for a takedown. Alvarado stuffs it but Wilson still has hold of him. Wilson picks Alvarado up in a fireman's lift! The crowd roars in approval. Wilson slams Alvarado to the floor and that's really hurt Alvarado - he doesn't know where he is! Wilson throws a couple of strikes and the referee steps in to save him! This one is in the books!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! hella gets caught flat footed, as Yamaski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. hella is trying to keep Yamaski in close.
hella working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Yamaski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Yamaski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. hella looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's one minute gone in the round. hella gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Yamaski counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Yamaski gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, hella regains guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Yamaski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Yamaski has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Yamaski throwing strikes from guard but hella blocks nicely. hella keeping moving, preventing Yamaski from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yamaski stands and steps away. hella gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Yamaski moves into the clinch successfully.

Yamaski is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst hella is controlling him. hella throwing strikes but missing. Yamaski is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Yamaski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. hella gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yamaski is breathing heavily. hella is looking to work some ground and pound but Yamaski has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. hella is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Yamaski is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Yamaski has escaped and now he's on top! hella is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. hella has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Yamaski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for hella . hella is looking for a sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Yamaski working the ground and pound. hella is trying to work for a sweep but Yamaski has mounted him! Yamaski lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Yamaski pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Yamaski scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish hella ?
Yamaski manages to capitalize on a mistake by hella to take his back! Yamaski is working the ground and pound. Can hella escape? Yamaski slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

Yamaski shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Yamaski was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Yamaski has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of hella 's face.
hella is looking to get to half guard. hella wants to control but Yamaski is having none of it. Yamaski is in the full mount, landing strikes. Yamaski trying to control but hella is having none of it. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yamaski in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
The referee warns hella that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
hella blocking the ground and pound. hella tries to hold on but Yamaski pushes him away. Yamaski gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! hella has his takedown stuffed and Yamaski counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. hella is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Yamaski rolls with it to try and escape but hella cranks on the arm and Yamaski is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Toyoku shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Toyoku tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Verzosa tries to hold on but Toyoku pushes him away. Verzosa keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Verzosa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Toyoku swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Verzosa is now in Toyoku's guard. A big mistake from Toyoku there, giving up the dominant position!

Verzosa had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Toyoku is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Verzosa Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Toyoku's back instead. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. A lull in the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Toyoku holding both Verzosa 's hands and preventing any damage. Toyoku defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
Toyoku wants to get back to his feet. Toyoku tries to escape but Verzosa has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Verzosa looking to break Toyoku's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Toyoku remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Verzosa will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Verzosa has control of Toyoku's left arm, preventing Toyoku from doing any damage. Hideo Toyoku overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Toyoku trying to stand up but can't free himself from Verzosa's guard. Toyoku avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Toyoku controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hideo Toyoku dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Toyoku wants to clinch. Toyoku throws a sloppy head kick and Verzosa moves out of range easily. Toyoku misses with a body kick. Verzosa misses with a takedown attempt and Toyoku counters with a shoot takedown. Verzosa fights it but they end up in guard. Verzosa bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Toyoku's guard. Toyoku keeping full guard, as Verzosa tries to pass. Toyoku isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Verzosa stacks Toyoku on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Verzosa!
That's one minute gone in the round. Toyoku is trying to get back to his feet. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Verzosa is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Toyoku knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Toyoku is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Verzosa asserts his dominance and retains side control. A control attempt from Toyoku but he's now mounted! Verzosa has control of Toyoku's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Toyoku regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Toyoku throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Verzosa was covering up waiting for the punch and Toyoku finishes the takedown easily into guard. Verzosa working for a triangle but Toyoku defends it easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Verzosa is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Verzosa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Toyoku escapes and throws Verzosa's legs to the side, diving into side control! Verzosa is trying to control Toyoku's posture but Toyoku avoids it. A lull in the action here.
And that's the end of the fight! Hideo Toyoku showed his dominance in that final round. Well Toyoku has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

It looks like Paul Cho has been cut. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Brooks throws a quick head kick that knocks Cho silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Brooks is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.

Dufresne looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! The Lion closes this distance looking for a takedown but Dufresne circles away.
