0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Matthew Gill! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierce looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Pierce performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Pierce is working for a kimura but Gill is defending it quite comfortably.
Pierce looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Pierce wants to work for an arm triangle but Gill is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Pierce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pierce is looking to take a break and control but Gill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pierce is working for a kimura but Gill is defending it quite comfortably.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gill is trying to get back to full guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Gill misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pierce.

Gill remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Pierce will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Pierce looking for the RNC. Gill defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Pierce. Gill tries to land a front kick but Pierce steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Gill looks to land a combination but Pierce avoids it well. Pierce avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gill misses with the combination.

Pierce sitting in guard here, content to control. Gill is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pierce defends well. Pierce advances position into side control! Pierce tries for a kimura but Gill is defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Pierce working away. Gill is not content to let Pierce control the position.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Gill tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pierce wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Gill is trying to control Pierce's posture but Pierce avoids it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Pierce moves away from the strike by Gill.

I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Craig Patton was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Johnson works over Caine with some ground and pound from guard. Johnson advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Caine's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Jack Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Victor Ramon! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Gregory Folan and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Teichroew throws a body kick that misses. Ramon on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Teichroew. Teichroew obviously looking to wear him down.
Ramon throws a lazy right hand but Teichroew sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Teichroew throws a nice looking combination but Ramon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ramon fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Teichroew sprawls well initially but Ramon persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Ramon stops Teichroew from getting back to his feet.
Ramon is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramon looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Teichroew wants to control but Ramon is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ramon is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Teichroew is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Means slips a jab and a cross from Whyte.
Whyte misses with a series of wild punches.
Whyte throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. No luck with that takedown attempt from Means. Whyte lands the left hand. Whyte will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Means wants to clinch up but Whyte keeps it at a distance. Means will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Means sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. Means is breathing heavily. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Whyte rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Means moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Whyte scores with a three punch combo!
Will Whyte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Whyte looks to land a combination. Means sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Whyte throws a right and a left that both miss. Whyte throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Means colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Whyte as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Means is left battered and dazed whilst Whyte and his camp cheer!

Gibson throws a right and a left that both miss. McNulty throws a right hand that Gibson ducks under and follows up with a left that Gibson also avoids with ease. Gibson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
