The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stoner misses with a few strikes there.
Stoner thows a body shot but no joy. Stoner connects with a good right hand that stumbles Rivas. Rivas circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
It looks like Ramon Rivas has been cut. A combination from Stoner does no damage. Rivas avoids a punch combination nicely.
Stoner slaps away a takedown attempt from Rivas, before circling back to the center of the mat. Stoner lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rivas circles away quickly and effectively. Stoner swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Stoner tries to bum rush Rivas with a series of wild strikes but Rivas uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Stoner rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Rivas moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Rivas looks for a takedown but Stoner sprawls well. Rivas lands a left and a right that send Stoner crashing to the mat, dazed. Rivas thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Thomas Stoner has been cut. Stoner is breathing heavily. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Stoner throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rivas counters with a head kick that wobbles Stoner - left then right he sways and one more bomb from Rivas sends him down. This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! thompson throws a head kick that misses. Mcarthy tries to score a power double leg takedown but thompson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Mcarthy somewhat. thompson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
A head kick misses from thompson. Mcarthy dives in and grabs thompson's left leg, looking for a takedown. thompson pushes down on Mcarthy's head and hops out. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mcarthy. thompson is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Mcarthy wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by thompson, who protects the arm well. thompson is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcarthy working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mcarthy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at thompson to see if he's OK. Mcarthy lands a few punches from side control. He has the arm isolated but thompson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Mcarthy tries to score with some ground and pound. thompson controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Mcarthy lands some shots froms side control. thompson can't do much from the bottom here. Mcarthy has an Americana. thompson didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Mcarthy is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Mcarthy hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

And that's the end of the fight! Charles Luciano showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Luciano, winning every round. Will the judges agree? That sent Cross stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Cross takes one to the chin there. Rutten lands a nice leg kick that just misses Cross's sensitive parts. Look low, kick high! Rutten uses the oldest trick in the book to send Cross tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Rutten is absolutely delighted - when Cross wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!

Kovalchik tries to hold on but Lewis pushes him away. Lewis is landing with some decent strikes but Kovalchik is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Phillips can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Phillips throwing strikes but missing.
