The bell rings for round one and we are underway! silva scores a takedown into full mount! silva pushing the pace here, looking to move to his opponents back and work for a finish.
Pommittaja slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Pommittaja has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. silva is working away from the top position though. silva trying to control from half guard but Pommittaja is working away. Pommittaja pushes silva off looking to stand but silva dives back in and keeps control.

silva trying to mount his opponent but Pommittaja defends it. Pommittaja makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Pommittaja. Pommittaja has his hands on silva's head, controlling the position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. silva stands up and waves to Pommittaja to follow him. Pommittaja with a poor takedown and silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Pommittaja is looking to break free of the clinch but silva has double underhooks. silva tries a knee to the head but Pommittaja blocks it.

Pommittaja looks gassed! silva stands up from Pommittaja's guard - silva perhaps looking for a knockout.

It looks like Katu Pommittaja has been cut. Pommittaja wants to clinch and silva counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! silva decides to stand and escape the position. silva darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Van der lie silva overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. silva looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Pommittaja wants to get back to full guard but silva has mounted him! Pommittaja is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pommittaja defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from silva. silva manages to capitalize on a mistake by Pommittaja to take his back!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Pommittaja turns into silva and is now in his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pommittaja trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but silva manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! silva stands up from guard. Let's bang! silva gets a clinch. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. silva looking to throw knees to the head but Pommittaja is blocking nicely.
Pommittaja tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. silva smiles and moves away.
Pommittaja throws a head kick that misses and silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Pommittaja has an active guard here but silva has managed to pass into half guard.

Van der lie silva dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Katu Pommittaja's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Pommittaja throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Pommittaja won't be happy with that. You can see the frustration on Pommittaja's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. silva controls the position. silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Pommittaja tries to buck silva off but silva is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. silva has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Pommittaja on the wrong end of a nice jab. silva closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. silva gets to his feet - back to striking we go! A head kick from silva lands but Pommittaja takes it in his stride. silva has Pommittaja up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round. silva throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Pommittaja blocks it with crossed arms. silva is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
silva lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pommittaja backwards. silva landing knees to the head.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as silva takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Pommittaja looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. silva using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Pommittaja has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Pommittaja throws a sloppy head kick and silva counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pommittaja is trying to control but silva manages to pass to mount!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Pommittaja with a lazy takedown attempt and silva counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. silva postures up.
Pommittaja looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but silva puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. Pommittaja is trying to control but silva passes into side control!
silva tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no silva has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pommittaja wants to control but silva postures up. silva tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. silva decides to stand back up. silva steps back and let's Pommittaja get back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Van der lie silva showed his dominance in that final round. Well silva has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kasvovaurio fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but de Madrid avoids it really well and circles away. Kasvovaurio tries to land a front kick but de Madrid steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Kasvovaurio closes the distance and clinches up with de Madrid, looking for a takedown. Kasvovaurio pushes de Madrid against the cage but de Madrid circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. de Madrid throws a head kick that misses. de Madrid throws a head kick that misses. de Madrid misses with an attempted mid kick.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rockefeller throws the left hand but Spelgoth avoids the punch easily. Rockefeller looks to land a left hand but Spelgoth moved out of range nicely. Rockefeller swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Spelgoth. Rockefeller lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Spelgoth defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Rockefeller. Rockefeller rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Spelgoth moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Spelgoth dives in and grabs Rockefeller's left leg, looking for a takedown. Rockefeller pushes down on Spelgoth's head and hops out. Rockefeller misses with a straight left. Rockefeller shoots and misses and Spelgoth counters with a single leg into guard. Rockefeller didn't expect that. Rockefeller is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Spelgoth is controlling him. Spelgoth postures up in Rockefeller's guard and throws a big left but Rockefeller blocks it. Spelgoth trying to control but Rockefeller is working from the bottom. Spelgoth avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Rockefeller tries for a takedown but Spelgoth circles away easily and Spelgoth counters with a nice double leg into half guard. OJ Spelgoth has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nelson Rockefeller. Spelgoth moves nicely into side control. Spelgoth tries for a kimura but Rockefeller is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rockefeller is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Spelgoth off and has taken his back! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Spelgoth trying to control the position but Rockefeller manages to sink in the hooks. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Neumann avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Grimli. Grimli gets a takedown into half guard. Grimli is taking a breather. Neumann says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Neumann is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Grimli's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Grimli's back! Grimli can't escape the position.
Grimli trying to control the action but Neumann just sinks the hooks in. Neumann wants to control but Grimli is keeping busy. Neumann loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Grimli hold on?

Grimli wants to clinch and Neumann counters with a good low kick that Grimli was not able to check. Neumann darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Neumann misses with a double jab.

Neumann tries to land knees in the clinch but Grimli avoids the damage to the body. Grimli looking to stall.

Milhouse drops down looking for an ankle pick but Patteri pulls his leg out and moves away.
Patteri cracks Milhouse with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Patteri scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Patteri throws a right and a left that both miss. No luck for Milhouse with that takedown attempt. Patteri throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Milhouse. Klaus Patteri seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Milhouse looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Patteri wants to get back to his feet.

Fredriksson fails with the takedown and Uusitalo counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Fredriksson is looking for a triangle but Uusitalo pushes his legs off easily.
Uusitalo has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Fredriksson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jutila shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Ryti throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jutila. Jutila displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ryti throws out the jab. Jutila avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jutila throws a lazy right hand but Ryti sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Jutila tries to move into range but Ryti moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Jutila throws a jab when Ryti was well out of range. Ryti misses with a double jab.

Reijo Ryti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. A jab from Ryti does it's job there. Good standup being displayed there by Ryti as he connects with a hook. Ryti connects with a crisp jab. A jab from Ryti finds it's way through Jutila's defenses. Ryti scores with a punch to the head. Jutila takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Ryti lands with a big right hook that stumbles Jutila - he's out on his feet here! Ryti follows up with another monster hook that separates Jutila from consciousness! Jutila falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Ryti stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
