The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Giant avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Giant throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Giant throws a right hand that Karelin ducks under and follows up with a left that Karelin also avoids with ease.
Giant throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Giant misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Giant throws out a leg kick but Karelin moves out of range and Giant only half commits.
Gentle Giant seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Giant paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Excel throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tank was covering up waiting for the punch and Excel finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Bud Spencer.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Spencer, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
