The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Simpson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Sanderson throws out the jab. A swing and a miss from Sanderson. Simpson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanderson circles away. Simpson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Sanderson circles away. A jab from Sanderson does it's job there. Simpson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Sanderson but Sanderson pushes him off and we're back to square one. Sanderson gets caught flat footed, as Simpson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Sanderson has a closed guard, preventing Simpson from standing up. Sanderson wants to sweep but no luck. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Simpson gets to his feet. Sanderson looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Sanderson comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Simpson fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanderson throws a series of strikes that have Simpson backpedaling.
Sanderson lands with an uppercut that bounces Simpson off the cage and back into rage. Simpson shoots in for a takedown but Sanderson shows good takedown defense. Sanderson tried to score with a low kick but Simpson checks it. Sanderson scores with a nice head shot. Sanderson lands a jab-cross combination. Simpson is breathing heavily. Sanderson sizes up Simpson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Sanderson cracks Simpson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. This has been an exciting period of action! Simpson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Simpson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Nice takedown defense from Sanderson. No joy for Simpson on that attempt. Simpson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sanderson's waist but Sanderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Simpson off to one side. Sanderson lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Sanderson cracks Simpson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
It looks like Homer Simpson has been cut. Simpson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanderson dips to his left and cracks Simpson with an uppercut! Sanderson is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Simpson had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Nice straight punches there by Sanderson. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Sanderson. Simpson dodges the punch combination from Sanderson.
Sanderson lands a left and a right that send Simpson crashing to the mat, dazed. Sanderson thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Simpson is rocked! A big right from Sanderson misses. Sanderson lands with a straight right. Simpson didn't see that one coming. Sanderson scores with a jab. Sanderson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Simpson. Simpson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Oh Simpson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sanderson throws a leg kick but Simpson moved away. Simpson seems to have got his legs back now. Sanderson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Simpson's hands. Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Sanderson! Simpson is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!

Cafu trying to control the position but instead, Cepa Urmus has worked for underhooks and has pushed Cafu into the cage. Cafu tries to pull guard but Cepa Urmus won't allow it.

Cepa Urmus throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Cafu's body to avoid the submission. Cafu has instead reached around Cepa Urmus's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Cafu arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Gore tries to close the distance and clinch up but Larchik swats him away and circles back towards the center. Larchik checks a low kick from Gore. Larchik tries to clinch up and Gore counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Larchik is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gore defends well. Gore trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Larchik had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Gore is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Larchik Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Gore's back instead. Gore defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Larchik's arms. Larchik doesn't have the hooks in and Gore manages to turn into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gore got a little sloppy there for a moment and Larchik has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Gore has managed to get both his arms back between Larchik's legs - danger averted. Larchik has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gore can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Larchik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gore gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Gore advances to half guard. Gore not landing any meaningful shots this time. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gore in particular looking to stall. Larchik is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Larchik looking for submissions from an awkward position here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Albert Gore will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. And we move into the final round!

He's pushed Larchik's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Larchik bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Larchik takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Gore struggling a bit here. Larchik tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Larchik has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Larchik thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's one minute gone in the round. Larchik is trying to get an arm triangle but Gore is defending well. Gore is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Gore wants to control but Larchik is keeping busy.
Gore moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Larchik is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gore is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gore has escaped and now he's on top! Larchik can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gore controls the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Larchik has his feet on Gore's thighs here. He's pushed Gore off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Gore screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! QQ will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
QQ throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cortez. QQ lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cortez will feel that in the morning. QQ lands a jab. Cortez is looking to clinch. Cortez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Cortez fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cortez shoots in but no luck this time. QQ swats away the attempt to clinch by Cortez. Cortez closes this distance looking for a takedown but QQ circles away. QQ lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Cortez takes a shot right to the bread basket. QQ feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cortez's calf. Thiago Cortez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cortez takes one to the chin there. Jab, jab by QQ - just one landing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogan throws a series of punches but Rodrigo moves out of range. Rodrigo tries to clinch up. Rodrigo keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Rogan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rodrigo sitting and controlling from the half guard. Rogan looks like he's trying to stand up.

Rogan clobbers Rodrigo with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Rodrigo uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rogan.

Rodrigo doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Some wild striking there from Rogan.

Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Rogan. Rogan stops Rodrigo from standing up. Rogan stands and steps away. Rodrigo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Rogan scores with a hook. Rodrigo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Rogan.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Rogan getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Rogan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Rodrigo tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rogan swivels and escapes. Rogan scores with a hook. Rogan misses with a wild body shot. Rogan closes the distance and lands a one-two. Left hook, right uppercut from Rogan. Rogan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rodrigo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rogan tries to avoid it but Rodrigo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rogan to the ground. Rogan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Enrique Rodrigo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Rogan misses with a looping left. Rogan get's back to his feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rogan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
