Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Darby Tyrone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yurgi Invokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yurgi Invokov told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyrone fails with a takedown attempt. Invokov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Tyrone sprawls well initially but Invokov persists and gets the takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Invokov is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tyrone doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Invokov. Invokov is trying to control the action in half guard but Tyrone is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Tyrone has a hand on Invokov's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Invokov takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Tyrone is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Invokov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Tyrone is looking to escape. Invokov working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Invokov wants to take Tyrone's back but he can't do it this time. Invokov moves to back control. Invokov working for the choke. Invokov is trying to stick to Tyrone's back but Tyrone is turning into Invokov. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Invokov's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Tyrone.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Invokov working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tyrone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tyrone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Tyrone lands a couple of elbows. Invokov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tyrone. Tyrone is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Tyrone throwing strikes but missing. Invokov keeping moving, preventing Tyrone from controlling successfully. Invokov had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tyrone is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Invokov Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tyrone's back instead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyrone manages to reverse the position and now he's in Invokov's guard. Nice work there by Tyrone.
Tyrone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Invokov swivels though and keeps the full guard. Invokov is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Tyrone defends well. Invokov is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Invokov working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Tyrone. Invokov is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tyrone is aware though and is defending well. Invokov looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Tyrone passes into half guard.
Tyrone working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Invokov's thigh. Invokov counters though and makes it back to full guard. Tyrone is posturing up here but Invokov has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Tyrone tries to roll out but it's too tight and Tyrone has to tap! Slick submission there by Invokov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Denn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Angle defending against the ground and pound. Denn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Denn tries to advance to mount but Angle denies him. Denn has an Americana. Angle didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Denn is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Denn hooks up with any of them at the after show party.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith throws a right and a left that both miss. Ogden looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Ogden persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing. Tay Smith seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Smith keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nice body kick there by Ogden. Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith lands with a right hand. Smith swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ogden moves into range and clinches up with Smith. Smith has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Smith is looking to break free of the clinch but Ogden has double underhooks. Ogden tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Smith just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Ogden. That's going to take a lot out of him. Smith wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ogden has him pressed against the cage. That sent Ogden stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Smith throws a right and a left that Ogden avoids nicely. Smith closes the distance and lands a one-two. Smith thuds his right hand into Ogden's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Smith lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Smith will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Ogden throws a nice looking combination but Smith bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Smith throws a sloppy head kick and Ogden moves out of range easily. Smith throws a series of punches but Ogden moves out of range. A solid leg kick lands there for Ogden.

Ogden tries to land a front kick but Smith steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Ogden shoots in for a takedown but Smith shows good takedown defense. Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Ogden has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! That's one minute gone in the round. Ogden postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Smith looks a forlorn figure.
Smith is breathing heavily. Ogden landing strikes, looking to finish! Ogden is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Smith is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Smith flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ogden anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Smith and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ogden slips an arm under Smith chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ogden has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ogden is squeezing on Smith like an anaconda would it's prey. Smith fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

White is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. White defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ward. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller moves out of range of the strikes. Miller wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Miller comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Miller tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but froch was well out of range. Poor timing from Miller. Miller throws a right and a left that both miss. froch jabbing away but nothing is landing. Miller avoids the head kick by froch.
Miller pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Miller displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as froch throws out the jab. froch throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Miller. froch rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Miller moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Miller swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Donk. Miller catches froch right on the button with a cross. Miller scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Miller comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Miller lands a really nice looking cross but froch seems unphased.
It looks like marlo froch has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! froch keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Miller bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. froch dodges the punch combination from Miller.
Miller lands a jab to froch's midsection. froch is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller misses with an uppercut. froch saw that one coming. Miller swings for the body but froch moves out of range.
No joy there for Miller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
froch throws a shot from downtown. Miller moves away and avoids it. Jab by Miller. froch ducks under a wild hook from Miller. Left hook, right uppercut from Miller. froch loads up on a big right hand but Miller slips the punch. A punch combination from froch misses. A punch combination from Miller misses. Miller cracks froch with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Miller has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning froch to stand back up!
froch is rocked! Miller connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends froch to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Miller!

Simmons closes this distance looking for a takedown but Pequeno circles away. Richard Simmons seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Pequeno as Simmons shoots in. Simmons misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pequeno.
Simmons shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Pequeno sprawls well. Pequeno wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Simmons gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Richard Simmons. That's going to take a lot out of him. Simmons loads up on a big right hand but Pequeno slips the punch. Simmons fails with the takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pequeno connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Richard Simmons has been cut. Excellent takedown into side control there by Simmons. Simmons working the head and body with strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pequeno is trying to control Simmons's posture but Simmons avoids it. Simmons misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Simmons sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Pequeno is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Pequeno is trying to improve his position. Simmons trying to control the position but Pequeno is working away. Pequeno manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Simmons tries to roll over but Pequeno keeps him under control. Pequeno is looking to pass Simmons's guard but actually Simmons recovers to full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Pequeno preventing the sweep. Pequeno trying to control the position from guard on top but Simmons is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pequeno is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pequeno is looking to advance position but Simmons has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Simmons lands a nice shot to the head. Simmons thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Pequeno tries to reverse the position but Simmons maintains control. Pequeno is in a horrible position here. Simmons smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Simmons with the ground and pound from mount. Simmons misses with some ground and pound and Pequeno recovers position to half guard. Simmons trying to mount his opponent but Pequeno defends it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Simmons scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Simmons throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Pequeno regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Simmons. Simmons stands up over Pequeno, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Pequeno not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Simmons throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Simmons throws a strike but Pequeno rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Pequeno gets to his feet. Simmons looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Richard Simmons will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Richard Simmons's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Horrible takedown by Simmons or perhaps it was just good defense by Pequeno which made him look bad. Simmons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Pequeno!

Pequeno does a little dance to reset his feet. Pequeno fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Simmons to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Simmons looks to clinch but Pequeno throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Simmons taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
