Kermodian comes into the arena with Arctic Monkeys - Mardy Bum blaring out of the sound system. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kermodian pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Svensson jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kermodian misses with a low kick as Svensson jumps back. Svensson bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Kermodian pushes Svensson up against the cage in a clinch. Kermodian controlling the action here for a moment.
Kermodian seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Svensson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Svensson avoids the elbow strike from Kermodian, against the cage.

Kermodian throws a front kick aimed at Svensson's knee but Svensson avoids it well. Kermodian throws and low kick but Svensson moves out of range easily. Svensson blocks a head kick by Kermodian.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Kermodian will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Mats Svensson's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Kermodian uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Svensson.
A big right from Svensson misses. Kermodian ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Svensson crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kermodian - the referee stops the clock and Svensson gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kermodian. Svensson manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Kermodian wants to clinch. Svensson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Svensson throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Svensson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Kermodian tries to close the distance and clinch but Svensson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Svensson moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Kermodian scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Svensson chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Kermodian can pounce on him.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Danga de danga de dang - Kermodian scores with a four punch combination! Kermodian scoring well with a low kick there.
Kermodian throws the left hand but Svensson avoids the punch easily. Svensson takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Svensson is breathing heavily. Kermodian misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Svensson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Kermodian moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Kermodian throws a nice outside leg kick. Kermodian throws a right hand that Svensson ducks under and follows up with a left that Svensson also avoids with ease. Svensson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kermodian.

Kermodian lands a left and a right that send Svensson crashing to the mat, dazed. Kermodian thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

That has opened up Mats Svensson's cut even more. Kermodian gets a clinch. Svensson is still on wobbly legs! Can Kermodian finish him? Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kermodian has Svensson pressed against the cage.

and Svensson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kermodian's guard now. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Svensson trying to control but Kermodian is working from the bottom. Kermodian pulls Svensson in close to his closed guard and prevents Svensson from doing any damage or advancing position. Svensson throws and elbow that misses. Kermodian uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Svensson's guard. Nice move by Kermodian! Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kermodian missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Svensson can't keep his opponent in guard - Kermodian advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Svensson keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Kermodian looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Kermodian is taking a breather. Svensson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Mats Svensson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Svensson wants to control but Kermodian is keeping busy and won't allow it. Svensson is defending against the submission attempts here by Kermodian.
Kermodian winds up and cracks Svensson with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Svensson has a hand on Kermodian's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Kermodian takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Svensson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kermodian can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Svensson is looking to escape. Kermodian avoids the attempt from Svensson to control. Svensson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kermodian looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Kermodian lands a big shot there that rocks Svensson but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Svensson wants to hold on but Kermodian pushes him away. Kermodian trying to control but he's not successful this time. A nice elbow there by Kermodian. Mark Kermodian is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Kermodian with the ground and pound from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Mats Svensson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kermodian has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lee shoots in looking for a takedown. Yamovitch tries to sprawl out of it but Lee keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yamovitch manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Lee shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Yamovitch is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Yamovitch moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Lee avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Lee thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Lee drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lee jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Yamovitch looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Lee is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Yamovitch escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Lee gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Yamovitch is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Lee defends well. Yamovitch is breathing heavily. Lee advances position into side control! Lee scoring with punches and elbows. Yamovitch manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Yamovitch tries to roll over but Lee keeps him under control.

Lee looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Yamovitch with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Yamovitch actively working from the bottom here. Lee in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Yamovitch tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Lee!

The fight stays on the outside here - Lowe looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lowe feints a jab and as Anvil dips his head, Lowe unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Anvil right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Anvil falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Lowe smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.

Russo tries for a takedown but McBride sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Russo lands a big head kick that sends McBride tumbling to the mat! Russo takes a step backwards and waves McBride back to his feet - he wants the finish! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! A wild punch that just about connected. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bistro closes the distance but Hollywood moves to the side and Hollywood makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. Bistro fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Hollywood is out of range. Bistro throws a leg kick and Hollywood counters with a nice right hand that sends Bistro toppling to the canvas!
