3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Meng Huo! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Damien Edna and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot by Huo. The fight stays on the outside here - Emelianen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Emelianen dives in and grabs Huo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Huo pushes down on Emelianen's head and hops out. Emelianen tries to bum rush Huo with a series of wild strikes but Huo uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Emelianen fails in his attempt to clinch. Emelianen takes a jab right on the kisser.
Huo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Emelianen moves away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Huo sizes up Emelianen with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. The fight stays on the outside here - Emelianen looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Huo cracks Emelianen with a good jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Huo slips a jab and a cross from Emelianen.
Emelianen fails with a takedown attempt. Emelianen is breathing heavily. Huo slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Huo avoids the head kick by Emelianen.
Fedor Emelianen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Huo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Emelianen.
Huo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Horrible takedown by Emelianen or perhaps it was just good defense by Huo which made him look bad. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Emelianen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Emelianen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Huo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Huo scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Emelianen waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Huo. Huo throws out a powerful jab. Emelianen tries to clinch but Huo moves out of range. Huo with a hook. Huo is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Emelianen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huo uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Emelianen attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. Huo should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Emelianen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Huo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight. Emelianen shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Huo sprawls well. Huo wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Emelianen gets slowly back to his feet. Emelianen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Huo as he avoids it easily. Emelianen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Huo throws a shot to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Huo stuns Emelianen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Huo punishes Emelianen's body with a nice straight punch. Huo with a body punch. A glancing blow. A shot to de liver by Huo. Beautiful body shot. Nice shot by Huo. Meng Huo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Huo cracks Emelianen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Emelianen gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Huo. Huo cracks Emelianen with an open hand slap. Emelianen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Huo.

Nicely done. Emelianen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Huo cracks Emelianen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Huo lands a body shot.
Emelianen looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Huo swings for the body but Emelianen moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Emelianen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Huo finds it's way round the side to connect with Emelianen's head. Huo bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Emelianen's head. Horrible takedown by Emelianen or perhaps it was just good defense by Huo which made him look bad. Huo lands a lovely overhand right. Emelianen changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Huo tries to avoid it but Emelianen manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Huo to the ground. Huo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fedor Emelianen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Huo keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Emelianen. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery. Huo jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Huo scores with a crisp jab that stopped Emelianen in his tracks. Fedor Emelianen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Huo displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Emelianen. Huo with a body punch. A glancing blow. Huo fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Emelianen looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. A cross from Huo lands. Huo lands a right hook to the body.

Meng Huo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Huo is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Emelianen rather than just go for the knockout. Huo throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

This entire fight has taken place on the feet so far and you wonder whether Emelianen might be better served trying to take this one to the ground because he's losing the standup battle so far. Emelianen walks into a stiff left hand from Huo. Huo lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Huo cracks Emelianen with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Jab from Huo. Huo misses with a wild body shot.

Huo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Emelianen tries to close the distance and clinch but Huo swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Huo connects with a body shot. Emelianen doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Emelianen walks into a straight right hand from Huo. Huo clobbers Emelianen with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Emelianen looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that. Huo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Huo misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Emelianen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Huo connects with a single shot there. Huo scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Emelianen doesn't seem bothered though. Huo digs a good hook to Emelianen's body.
Huo lands with a hook. Emelianen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Huo, as that shot connected.
Huo scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Huo scores with a hook. Huo paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Huo cracks a nice hook into Emelianen's ribs. Huo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. A shot to de liver by Huo. Beautiful body shot. Huo ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Huo lands a slapping body shot.
Huo dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Emelianen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Fedor Emelianen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Meng Huo is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Huo has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Huo lands with a nice body punch.
And that's the end of the fight! Meng Huo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Huo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

It looks like Mike Thompson has been cut. Thompson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. This has been an exciting period of action! Thompson seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Karalim shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Thompson is backing up but Karalim catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Thompson covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Karalim Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!

McGoogles throws a hook but Orlhovki avoids it easily. McGoogles throws a left that rocks Orlhovki and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! McGoogles dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Orlhovki regain composure!

Orlhovki is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Orlhovki trying to control the position from guard on top but McGoogles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Orlhovki darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Orlhovki has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can McGoogles defend it? Orlhovki steps over the head and cranks it - McGoogles is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Orlhovki!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vicious shoots in for a takedown but Zhongjing shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Vicious shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Zhongjing as he avoids it easily. Zhongjing avoids a kick to the body.
Vicious looks to land a combination but Zhongjing avoids it well. Vicious fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Zhongjing avoids it really well and circles away. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Zhongjing wants to slow Vicious down by chopping away at his legs. Vicious closes the distance and clinches up with Zhongjing, looking for a takedown. Vicious pushes Zhongjing against the cage but Zhongjing circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Zhongjing is looking to score with low kicks. Zhongjing tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vicious was well out of range. Poor timing from Zhongjing. Good leg kick by Zhongjing there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Zhongjing misses with a low kick. Zhongjing connects with a solid leg kick. A telegraphed right hand from Zhongjing misses the target. Zhongjing wants to slow Vicious down by chopping away at his legs. Zhongjing slaps away a takedown attempt from Vicious, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vicious shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Zhongjing pivots, looking for a leg kick but Vicious is out of range and Zhongjing settles back down. Vicious takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Zhongjing shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. A solid leg kick lands there for Zhongjing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Zhongjing thumps Vicious with a low kick. Zhongjing feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vicious's calf. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Zhongjing chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Good leg kick by Zhongjing there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Zhongjing does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Vicious tries to score a power double leg takedown but Zhongjing sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Vicious somewhat. Zhongjing feints and then cracks Vicious's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vicious down. Zhongjing throws a leg kick that misses. Vicious checks a leg kick nicely. Zhongjing throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

And that's the end of the fight! Zhang Zhongjing comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Zhongjing has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. Zero keeping full guard, as Severn tries to pass. Zero had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Severn is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Zero Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Severn's back instead. Severn is trying to break free.
