 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jiri lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively. Jiri is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Jiri wants to clinch.
Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jiri sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Jones throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Jiri knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Jones on the ground. The fight stays on the outside here - Jiri looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jiri misses with a jab, cross combination.

Jones is looking to regain half guard here but Jiri keeps moving and retains side control. Jones misses with an elbow from the bottom. Jones is pushing Jiri's head away, looking to escape. Jiri manages to hold on to the position though. Jones tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Jiri presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Jones bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones throwing strikes from guard but Jiri blocks nicely.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pitta misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Pitta tries to bum rush Charles with a series of wild strikes but Charles uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Charles throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Pitta misses with a few strikes there.
Pitta throws a combination. Charles tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Pitta instigates a clinch. Pitta keeps control of Charles as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Charles is pressed up against the cage. Pitta has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Charles down to the mat. Charles avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Pitta dodges the punch combination from Charles.
Pitta scores with a jab to the body. Charles throws a nice looking combination but Pitta bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. No joy there for Charles, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A punch combination from Charles misses. Charles throws a right and a left that both miss. Pitta stuns Charles with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. Charles looks gassed! This has been an exciting period of action!

Charles walks straight into a right hand from Pitta - that's dropped him! Pitta jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Charles from any more punishment! Charles complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.

 The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wood throws a right hand that Leroy ducks under and follows up with a left that Leroy also avoids with ease. Leroy closes the distance and clinches up with Wood, looking for a takedown. Leroy pushes Wood against the cage but Wood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wood keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Wood throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Leroy. Wood stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wood wants it to stay on the feet. Ron Wood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris Leroy. Leroy shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Leroy fails with a takedown attempt.
Wood has closed the distance and engaged Leroy in a clinch.
Wood tightens his grip and picks Leroy up, before dumping him to the ground. Leroy manages to land in guard. Wood trying to control the position from guard on top but Leroy is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

 It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Weiss fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Korkeaoja looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Weiss just misses with a punch to the body.

and Korkeaoja counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Weiss's guard now.
 That's two minutes gone in the round. Korkeaoja is looking to work some ground and pound but Weiss has wrist control. Korkeaoja must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Weiss tries to land a sweep but no joy. Weiss is trying to control the position from the bottom.

 That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Korkeaoja wants to stand up but Weiss has a hold of him and won't allow it.
 Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. A swing and a miss from Weiss. Olavi Korkeaoja is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Weiss drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Weiss jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
