Helm is breathing heavily.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Damage, right into the meat.
Damage moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
A chopping leg kick lands by Damage.
Helm loses concentration momentarily and Damage pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Helm crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Damage finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Verbose really is a fat lump.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Fordig as Verbose tries to tie him up.
Fordig slows down the pace here.
Fordig prevents the takedown attempt.
Verbose is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Fordig pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Verbose can't get the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gensui Verbose. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fordig is struggling to control the position.

Fordig pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fordig tries to close the distance and clinch up but Verbose swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Fordig is looking to clinch but Verbose is avoiding it.

Fordig lands a left and a right that send Verbose crashing to the mat, dazed. Fordig thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Fordig clinches with his opponent.
Oh Verbose is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Fordig maintains plum control as Verbose tries to back straight out! Fordig connects with one knee! Two knees! Three, four, five, six...seven unasnwered knees! Verbose blocks the eight but eats the ninth - then collapses! Oh the brutality!

Hunkstrom kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Stuck In The Middle With You. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Bitter shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bitter fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Hunkstrom goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

It looks like Franklin Bitter has been cut.
Bitter misses with a takedown attempt - Hunkstrom sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bitter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Sven Hunkstrom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Franklin Bitter.
Hunkstrom fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bitter on the side of the head.
Bitter shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hunkstrom sprawls well. Hunkstrom wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Bitter gets slowly back to his feet.
Bitter fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Franklin Bitter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bitter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Hunkstrom as he jumps to the side.
Bitter on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Bitter looks gassed!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bitter avoids the head kick by Hunkstrom.
Hunkstrom scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Sven Hunkstrom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunkstrom lands a nice shot that snaps Bitter's head back.
Hunkstrom scores with a hook.
Bitter takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Donk. Hunkstrom catches Bitter right on the button with a cross.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bitter needs to keep his hands up - Hunkstrom had a free shot at his head there.
Bitter moves forwards but Hunkstrom connects with a nice, crisp jab.
No joy there for Hunkstrom, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bitter is trying desperately to land a takedown but Hunkstrom is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Bitter.
Bitter takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Hunkstrom steps into range and cracks Bitter with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Bitter flops backwards and Hunkstrom dives into his guard looking to finish!

Bitter is rocked!
Hunkstrom loads up on a big left hand. Bitter felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Hunkstrom looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Bitter can't hide his disappointment, as Hunkstrom celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sven Hunkstrom!
