0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Lampard! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Deion Sanders! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lampard fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sanders avoids it really well and circles away. Sanders closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lampard tries to roll over but Sanders keeps him under control. Lampard is working hard here to advance position. Lampard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sanders on the ground. Lampard looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sanders is figuring out what he wants to do next. Sanders prevents Lampard from improving his position. Sanders wants to work for an arm triangle but Lampard is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanders is keen to just control but Lampard is a slippery customer. Sanders is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Lampard sees it coming and defends easily. Sanders is trying to control. Lampard wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Lampard wants to get back to full guard. Sanders content to control rather than advance. Sanders gets a trip takedown into half guard. Lampard is controlling Sanders's position as best he can from this difficult position. Sanders stops Lampard from getting back to his feet.

Sanders is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Lampard is just riding it out for now. Sanders eventually gives up the hold. Lampard wants to control but Sanders is keeping busy.

Sanders trying to control the position but Lampard is working away. Sanders is trying to get an arm triangle but Lampard is defending well. Sanders goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lampard rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Sanders's guard! Nice work there by Lampard! Lampard tries to stand but Sanders is controlling from the bottom. Sanders trying to control the position.

Lampard works his way back into a safe position though. Lampard decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Lampard misses with a takedown so Sanders counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Sanders thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Sanders stops Lampard from standing up. Sanders drops back looking for a leg! Lampard is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lampard manages to kick Sanders off! Sanders jumps back into Lampard's guard. Lampard looking for a sweep. Not yet Lampard, not yet.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lampard fails miserably with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Lampard. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Uzamaki throws a sloppy head kick and Meneses moves out of range easily. Meneses blocks a head kick by Uzamaki.
Meneses fails with a takedown attempt. Uzamaki looks to land a body kick but Meneses moved away. Meneses's corner calls for a 1-2. Meneses obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Meneses lands a body shot.
Meneses moves into range and connects with a jab. Uzamaki fakes the leg kick and cracks Meneses in the body. Meneses takes a swing at Uzamaki's ribcage but misses. Uzamaki misses with a head kick.

On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off. Meneses lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, even Bell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Scott Richards! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Donald Grub and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Richards lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Bell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Richards circles away quickly and effectively. Richards tries for a takedown but Bell sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Richards throws a head kick but Bell moves out of range.
Bell will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bell is looking to stand up but Richards isn't so interested in that idea. Bell trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Chambers connects with a nice short shot to Masaru's temple. Masaru is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chambers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chambers's back! Chambers needs to remain patient if he's going to get out of this sticky situation. Chambers is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ming Chang throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lee's waist but Lee gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ming Chang off to one side. Ming Chang scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Ming Chang avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lee defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ming Chang. Ming Chang takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Ming Chang fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Ming Chang. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck with that takedown attempt from Ming Chang. Ming Chang moves out of range of the strikes. Ming Chang keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Lee. Ming Chang sizes up Lee with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Lee uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ming Chang.

Ming Chang takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Lee tries to bum rush Ming Chang with a series of wild strikes but Ming Chang uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lee throws a looping overhand right but Ming Chang ducks down to avoid it. Lee scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Ming Chang throws an elbow but Lee slips to the side and avoids it well. Ming Chang tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. You can see the frustration on Lee's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Lee is looking to reverse the position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lee ducks under a wild hook from Ming Chang. Lee connects with a good right hand that stumbles Ming Chang. Ming Chang circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Ming Chang looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Ming Chang misses with an uppercut. Lee saw that one coming. Lee dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ming Chang. Lee is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I think Bong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Voices. Bill Cutting told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one!
