Undercard bout

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damon King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Evil Clown - Slapshock. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from King. No joy for James on that attempt.

King shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in James's guard.

James tries to roll over but King keeps him under control.

James is looking to control King's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can James avoid being mounted?

James is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

King controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

King won't allow James to get back to his feet.

King drops back looking for a leg! James is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and James manages to kick King off! King jumps back into James's guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

King feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
James takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
King creates some space and throws a big elbow, but James sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

King wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by James, who protects the arm well.

James is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
James is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Even with his hooks in, James manages to miss with strikes from the back.

King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but James does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

King seems to be looking for submissions.
James wants to improve his position but King is controlling well.
Frank James has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
