The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice combination there by Beatdown.
It looks like Project Cyborg has been cut. Beatdown slaps away a takedown attempt from Cyborg , before circling back to the center of the mat. Barry Beatdown seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Cyborg takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Beatdown looks to land a combination but Cyborg avoids it well. Beatdown drops Cyborg with a beautiful combination! Cyborg stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Beatdown is looking for the KO!
Cyborg is rocked! Beatdown lands with a hook. Cyborg tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Beatdown lands a big uppercut and Cyborg crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Cyborg looks OK. Beatdown waves Cyborg back to his feet! Oh Cyborg is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Beatdown misses with a wild combination.
Cyborg seems to have got his legs back now. Beatdown throws a monster overhand right that drops Cyborg ! Beatdown follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Ho with that takedown attempt. Blyer slaps away a takedown attempt from Ho, before circling back to the center of the mat. Ho shoots in for a takedown but Blyer shows good takedown defense. Rocky Blyer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Ho. Blyer decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Blyer lands a nice short elbow. Ho is looking to escape. Blyer not doing much here.
Ho tries to get to full guard but Blyer has control of the leg. Blyer keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ho is trying to stand up here but Blyer is controlling him well. Blyer wants to pass the guard but Ho is defending well. Ho is trying to maintain the position but Blyer is very close to passing his half guard. Blyer perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Ho has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blyer is working away from the top position though. Blyer working Ho over with strikes. Blyer tries to stand and escape but Ho is controlling the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Blyer prevents Ho from improving his position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Ho tries to close the distance and clinch but Blyer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ho swinging wilding here.
Blyer cracks Ho with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Ho looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Blyer finish him?
It looks like Kai Ho has been cut. Ho looks gassed! Blyer shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Blyer was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Blyer controlling his opponent. Blyer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ho for as long as he can get away with.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ho tries to hold on but Blyer postures up. Blyer controlling from the full mount. Blyer's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Blyer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ho on the ground. Ho is in all sorts of trouble here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Ho wants to hold on but Blyer pushes him away. Blyer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Blyer avoids the attempt from Ho to control. Blyer controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Blyer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kai Ho's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bangaru moves forwards but Yamashita connects with a nice, crisp jab. Yamashita cracks Bangaru with a good jab. Jab from Yamashita. Yamashita connects with a looping right hand.

Bangaru is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The fight stays on the outside here - Bangaru looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Bangaru uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Yamashita.
Bangaru uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yamashita. Bangaru throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Yamashita's waist but Yamashita gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Bangaru off to one side. Yamashita lands with an uppercut that bounces Bangaru off the cage and back into rage. Yamashita waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Bangaru. A shot to de liver by Yamashita. Beautiful body shot. Bangaru has a takedown stuffed. Bangaru walks into a straight right hand from Yamashita. A jab from Yamashita does it's job there. Yamashita is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round!Bangaru had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté. Yamashita lands a big elbow. Yamashita is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bangaru can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
