The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Slipp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Slipp looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Girl tries to get to full guard but Slipp has control of the leg. Slipp is working for a kimura but Girl is defending it quite comfortably.
Girl wants to get back to full guard. Girl is trying to maintain the position but Slipp is very close to passing his half guard. Girl keeping hold of Slipp's head, controlling as best he can. Slipp stops Girl from getting back to his feet.

Slipp tries to buck Girl off but Girl is having none of it. Slipp is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Girl off and has taken his back! Girl is keeping busy.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Slipp looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Slipp winds up and cracks Girl with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Girl trying to control but Slipp postures up.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Girl misses with a few strikes there.
Slipp shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down. Slipp shoots in for a takedown but Girl shows good takedown defense. Girl throws a low kick but it's checked well by Slipp. Slipp drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Girl is trying to control Slipp's posture but Slipp avoids it. Slipp swings around for an armbar but Girl sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Slipp's guard. Girl stands up from Slipp's guard - Girl perhaps looking for a knockout. Girl punishes Slipp's body with a nice straight punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Slipp will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Girl lands the left hand. Horrible takedown by Slipp or perhaps it was just good defense by Girl which made him look bad. Slipp is looking to land body kicks. Girl throws a right and a left that Slipp avoids nicely. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Slipp. Slipp swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Girl connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Girl works the jab nicely. Girl pivots, looking for a leg kick but Slipp is out of range and Girl settles back down. Girl scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Girl looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Slipp is looking to clinch. Girl slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. A jab lands there for Girl.
Slipp is rocked! My Girl seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Slipp feints and as Girl raises his hands in defense, Slipp changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Slipp is fighting to break Girl's control of his arms but Girl is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Slipp in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slipp looking to pass the guard. Slipp looking to sit in guard and control but Girl gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Slipp throws his legs up looking for a submission but Girl uses it to pass to side control.
Slipp is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Girl decides to stand back up. Girl steps back and let's Slipp get back to his feet. Slipp throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Girl was covering up waiting for the punch and Slipp finishes the takedown easily into guard. Girl is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Slipp frees his head nicely. Oh but Girl has switched to an armbar! Slipp is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!

The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Michalski misses with a double jab.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot lands for Sidorov. Gonzalez looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Sidorov works Gonzalez's body with a nice hook. Sidorov throws out a powerful jab. Gonzalez looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Sidorov thumps Gonzalez with a low kick. It looks like Fernando Gonzalez has been cut. Sidorov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Sidorov manages to break the clinch.
Sidorov moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. Fernando Gonzalez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sidorov lands a left and a right that send Gonzalez crashing to the mat, dazed. Sidorov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rios shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Tyler counters with a series of strikes. Rios will be more careful next time no doubt. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. A combination from Tyler does no damage. Tyler throws a sloppy head kick and Rios moves out of range easily. Tyler turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Rios moves in looking to clinch but Tyler pushes him off. Rios closes the distance but Tyler moves to the side and Tyler counters with a left and a right that stings Rios. Tyler throws a nice looking combination but Rios bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tyler uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rios.
Rios has his takedown stuffed and Tyler counters with a nice kick to the body. Tyler throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rios. Rios darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Good leg kick by Rios there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Rios fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Rios showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Tyler.
A head kick from Tyler lands but Rios takes it in his stride. Rios with a lazy takedown attempt and Tyler counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Nice takedown defense from Tyler. No joy for Rios on that attempt. Rios tries to close the distance and clinch up but Tyler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Rick Rypien seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight stays on the outside here - Guavo looks like he's thinking about clinching though. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Linne throws a head kick but Gandejos moves out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Gandejos. Gandejos gets a takedown into half guard. Linne won't allow Gandejos to pass to mount. Linne is not content to let Gandejos control the position. Linne is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. Gandejos wants to pass the guard but Linne is defending well. Linne is staying active underneath Gandejos, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
