Salazar kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Mama Said Knock you Out. Kain Veldspar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Veldspar is trying hard to land a takedown here. Salazar sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Salazar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Veldspar paws at him with a jab and circles away. Veldspar misses with a takedown attempt - Salazar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. No luck for Veldspar with that takedown attempt. Juan Salazar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kain Veldspar. Veldspar drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Veldspar looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Salazar is looking to reverse the position. Salazar defends it easily. Salazar is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Veldspar throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Guida pushes Champion against the cage but Champion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Guida has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
It looks like Julius Guida has been cut. Champion will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Champion connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Guida! He's out on his feet! Champion rushes in and drops Guida with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!

Let's hope that Danky has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Danky throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Moralez works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Moralez has his foot on Danky's thigh. Morbid displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Hughes throws out the jab. Morbid closes the distance and clinches. Hughes turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Hughes is looking to take a break and control but Morbid is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Morbid pushes Hughes away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Hughes gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Hughes fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Morbid putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Hughes in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Morbid connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hughes's face.
