The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws an overhand right that lands on Vasquez's shoulder, as Vasquez tries to avoid the shot.
Vasquez shoots for a takedown but Black saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Vasquez closes the distance and clinches up with Black, looking for a takedown. Vasquez pushes Black against the cage but Black circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Vasquez shoots in and drives through. Black sprawls well.
Herman Black has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Navinho Vasquez.

Black forces Vasquez back against the cage and clinches.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Vasquez stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Black.

A jab-cross combination lands for Black and sends Vasquez crashing to the mat! Black follows him down to the mat - Vasquez regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

It looks like Navinho Vasquez has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Black postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vasquez to stand up.
Vasquez is still on wobbly legs! Can Black finish him?
Black cracks Vasquez with a brutal left hook that knocks him out cold! This one is over in a flash! Game over!
