The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Swick closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Morthens tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Swick just stands there and leans against the cage.

Morthens gets control of Swick's arms and successfully pulls guard. Morthens will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Morthens has a closed guard, preventing Swick from standing up.
Swick knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Morthens on the ground.

Haas ducks right into an uppercut from Stevenson.

It looks like Lukus Haas has been cut.
Haas tries to score a power double leg takedown but Stevenson sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haas somewhat.
Stevenson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Haas's hands.
Stevenson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Haas at a distance.

Haas closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Haas lands in his opponent's guard.
Stevenson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Haas manages to get himself to full guard.

Stevenson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Haas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevenson has managed to get both his arms back between Haas's legs - danger averted.
