4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Door Knob! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Aracelis misses with a wild body shot. Knob cracks Aracelis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Knob swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Aracelis has managed to clinch.
Aracelis breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Knob throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Aracelis's waist but Aracelis gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Knob off to one side. Knob uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Aracelis.
Aracelis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Knob paws at him with a jab and circles away. Knob misses with a body shot.
Aracelis is looking to clinch. Aracelis closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Knob jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Aracelis walks away with a smile on his face. Knob gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Aracelis takes a body punch but keeps moving. Aracelis takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Aracelis is looking to clinch but Knob is avoiding it.
Knob lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

It looks like Door Knob has been cut. Knob closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Aracelis to the mat! Aracelis manages to get full guard. Aracelis keeping moving, preventing Knob from controlling successfully. Knob wants to pass the guard but Aracelis is keeping the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knob trying to control the position from guard on top but Aracelis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Aracelis wants to sweep here but Knob controlling him for the moment. Aracelis is working hard here to advance position. Knob stands and throws Aracelis's legs to the side, diving into side control. Aracelis is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Aracelis on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Aracelis tries to get out of the position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Knob avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Knob shoots in but no luck this time. Angel Aracelis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Door Knob. Knob tries to close the distance and clinch but Aracelis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Aracelis is looking to clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Knob shoots in looking for a takedown. Aracelis tries to sprawl out of it but Knob keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Aracelis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Aracelis misses with a combination
and Knob counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aracelis won't be happy with that. Knob in the domination position with Aracelis hanging on. Aracelis wants to control but Knob postures up. Aracelis is trying to get back to half guard. Knob working away. Aracelis sneaks back into half guard. Knob is looking for a kimura here.

Aracelis works his way to full guard. Good work. Aracelis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Knob wants to control from the top but Aracelis keeps moving. Knob postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Aracelis is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Knob, into his guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Aracelis showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Aracelis's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Knob is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Knob working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aracelis doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aracelis manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. That was a close round but I would say that Angel Aracelis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Door Knob's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Aracelis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knob, pushing him back against the cage. Knob tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Aracelis just stands there and leans against the cage. Aracelis taking a breather. Aracelis lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Still in the clinch, Aracelis scores with a nice short uppercut. Aracelis breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Aracelis is looking to clinch. Knob takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Aracelis wants to clinch and Knob counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Knob changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aracelis tries to avoid it but Knob manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aracelis to the ground. Aracelis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Aracelis tries to close the distance and clinch up but Knob swats him away and circles back towards the center. Aracelis fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Knob, pushing him back against the cage. Knob tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Aracelis smiles and moves away.
Angel Aracelis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Door Knob. Knob takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

That has opened up Door Knob's cut even more. Knob tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Aracelis pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Aracelis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Aracelis swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Knob looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Aracelis moves in looking to clinch but Knob pushes him off. Aracelis has Knob up against the cage in a clinch.

It looks like Twiggie Munson has been cut. Munson has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Manuel clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! Manuel trying to control the hands but Munson won't let him. Manuel turns into Munson and is now in his guard.
Manuel drops back looking for a leg! Munson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Munson manages to kick Manuel off! Manuel jumps back into Munson's guard. Brott will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Paige gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily so Brott counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. The referee asks Brott politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Brott prefers to stall for the moment though. Paige is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Brott asserts his dominance and retains side control. Brott scores with punches from side control.

Barker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hanma was covering up waiting for the punch and Barker finishes the takedown easily into guard. Barker lands a couple of decent looking shots. Barker throwing strikes from guard but Hanma blocks nicely.
