The bell rings for round one and we are underway! killer changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gracie tries to avoid it but killer manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gracie to the ground. Gracie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. killer takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
killer shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gracie as he jumps to the side. killer shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gracie but Gracie pushes him off and we're back to square one. Defoe Gracie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of ortiz killer. killer fails to land the takedown. killer will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Gracie tries to bum rush killer with a series of wild strikes but killer uses good footwork to avoid the assault. ortiz killer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. killer blocks a jab. killer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Gracie throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Mucho shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in The Crippler's guard. The Crippler has momentary wrist control but Mucho slips an elbow through the middle. Mucho throws a strike but The Crippler rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Conlin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by De Troyer. De Troyer tries to clinch up. Conlin keeps the fight on the outside. De Troyer misses with a double jab
and Conlin counters with a left and a right that stings De Troyer. De Troyer is looking to clinch but Conlin is avoiding it.
Conlin throws a nice looking combination but De Troyer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Conlin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
De Troyer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Conlin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
De Troyer misses with a low kick. Conlin tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Horrible takedown by De Troyer or perhaps it was just good defense by Conlin which made him look bad. De Troyer tries to land a leg kick but Conlin saw it coming and moves away.
