Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bones Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Connor Black! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones is looking to clinch. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Black paws at him with a jab and circles away. Jones tries to clinch there but Black circles away.
Jones fails in his attempt to clinch. Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet. Black shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Bones Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Connor Black. Black misses with a few strikes there.

Black keeps the fight on the outside. Bones Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones tries to close the distance and clinch up but Black swats him away and circles back towards the center. Nice sprawl there from Jones as Black shoots in. The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Jones for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure. Black jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Black jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Black gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Black shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Black tries to clinch up. Black circles away from the clinch attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Bizzle is trying to stand.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Washington closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Jab by Leonard. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Leonard is defended easily by Washington. Washington uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Leonard.
Leonard throws the kick towards the body but Washington avoids it. Leonard throws a right hand that Washington ducks under and follows up with a left that Washington also avoids with ease. Washington avoids the head kick by Leonard.
Washington fails with an attempt to clinch.
Washington looks to land a combination but Leonard avoids it well. Leonard pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Leonard lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Washington circles away quickly and effectively. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Washington. Leonard lands with a nice body punch. Leonard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Washington moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Leonard throws a combination that misses and Washington counters by clinching up. Washington with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Washington connects with a nasty looking knee right to Leonard's face.
With the fighters up against the cage, Washington throws an elbow but misses. Leonard breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Leonard throws a series of punches but Washington moves out of range. Leonard misses with a combination
and Washington counters with a nice double leg into side control. Leonard won't be happy with that. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Leonard is trying to improve his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Jill Leonard will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Leonard tries to get to full guard but Washington has control of the leg. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Washington is working for a submission of some sort.

and Washington makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Leonard misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A jab from Leonard misses. Washington wants to clinch. A right-left combo lands from Leonard. Leonard will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Washington wants to clinch and Leonard connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Leonard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Washington was well out of range. Poor timing from Leonard. Washington scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Washington tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Leonard circles away from the clinch attempt and Leonard counters with a nice uppercut. Washington shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Leonard manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Washington stops Leonard from standing up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A punch combination from Chace misses. Chace looks to land a left hand but Lucas moved out of range nicely. Lucas throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Chace avoids the head kick by Lucas.
Lucas avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Lucas uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Chace. Chace cracks Lucas with a right hand to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lucas looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Lucas throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Chace was covering up waiting for the punch and Lucas finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Chace throws and low kick but Lucas moves out of range easily. Chace pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Lucas scores with a kick to the midsection. Lucas changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Chace tries to avoid it but Lucas manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Chace to the ground. Chace escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Lucas throws a sloppy head kick letting Chace counter with a right hand. Travis Lucas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Lucas! Chace is out on his feet! Lucas rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Chace is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Chace is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
