Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Vince Nash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, James Miller! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Miller keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Nash shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Nash showed some decent athleticism there. Nash is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Miller working to try and regain half guard.
Nash unloading with bombs! Miller is looking to get to half guard. Nash trying to control but he's not successful this time. Miller wants to hold on but Nash pushes him away. Miller is working to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nash wants to finish this one by submission but Miller is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Nash. Nash wants to control the pace but Miller is squirming around nicely. Miller is desperately trying to improve his position but Nash has a good base and remains in mount. Miller is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. The referee warns Miller that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Nash has control of Miller's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Miller regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Nash moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Miller has worked his arm free - good work by Miller!
Nash is breathing heavily. Miller sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Miller is trying to stand up here but Nash is controlling him well. Miller is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Miller is not content to let Nash control the position. Miller moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Nash trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Miller is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Nash is aware though and is defending well. Miller is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Nash looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nash postures up in Miller's guard and throws a big left but Miller blocks it. Miller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nash can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nash missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Miller bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Nash's guard. Nash not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Miller passes Nash's left leg - he's now in half guard. Nash is trying to maintain the position but Miller is very close to passing his half guard. Miller is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nash wants to get back to full guard. Miller tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nash knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Nash tries to roll over but Miller keeps him under control. Nash might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but James Miller will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Miller with a poor takedown and Nash counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Nash advances position into side control! Nash thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Miller manages to get back to half guard. Nash prevents Miller from improving his position. Vince Nash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Miller is trying to maintain the position but Nash is very close to passing his half guard. Miller looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Miller looking for submissions off his back. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Miller is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Nash has latched onto it... Big trouble! Nash pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Miller is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Nash!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunt just misses with a punch to the body.
A combination from The Don does no damage. Hunt shoots in looking for a takedown. The Don tries to sprawl out of it but Hunt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. The Don manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Mike Hunt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The Don tries to clinch up but Hunt circles away and keeps his distance. Hunt misses with a body kick. Hunt attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Hunt tries to score a power double leg takedown but The Don sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hunt somewhat. Hunt tries a head kick but it misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The Don moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

Hunt looks gassed! Hunt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts The Don as he jumps to the side. The Don closes the distance and clinches. Hunt pushes off an throws an elbow but The Don leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage. Hunt fails to pull the fight into his guard.

The Don feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Hunt's calf. The Don gets in close and instigates a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! The Don escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Left hook, right uppercut from The Don. The Don scores with a decent looking hook. The Don steps into range and unloads a brutal right left combo! Hunt is out on his feet! The Don sets himself and nearly takes Hunt's head off with a straight right, sending him crashing to the mat! Wow, that was nasty... but awesome! Wooo!

We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Plum tries to get out of the position. Beckham trying to control the position but Plum is working away. Plum pushes Beckham away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Beckham gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Beckham shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Plum pinned against the cage. Plum gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. David Beckham has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Johnny Plum is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Plum swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Johnny Plum. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Plum, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Buttridge. Salek scores with a jab. Buttridge acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Buttridge circles away from the clinch attempt.
