1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marcus Akimbo! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Jorge Garcia and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Christ shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Akimbo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Christ postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Akimbo is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Christ, into his guard. Christ has a closed guard, preventing Akimbo from standing up. Akimbo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Akimbo advances position into side control! You can see the frustration on Christ's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Christ is trying to get back to half guard. Akimbo misses with the ground and pound. Christ regains half guard. Christ tries to get to full guard but Akimbo has control of the leg. The fighters are battling for position here. Christ manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Akimbo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Christ. Akimbo decides to stand back up. Akimbo steps back and let's Christ get back to his feet. Akimbo looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Akimbo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Akimbo is in close to Christ's body, working some short punches and elbows. Akimbo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Akimbo decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Christ, up you get! Decent striking displayed by Akimbo there. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Akimbo doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Akimbo manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Christ is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Akimbo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Christ. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Christ utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Akimbo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Christ working for a triangle but Akimbo defends it easily.

Christ fails with the takedown and Akimbo counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Akimbo wants to clinch up but Christ keeps it at a distance. Akimbo lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Christ is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Akimbo in side control lands a decent elbow. Christ manages to work his way to half guard, despite Akimbo's best efforts. Christ is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Akimbo is tapping! Great win for Christ!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jaggerrjack is being controlled here. Kausch trying to control the position but Jaggerrjack is working away. Jaggerrjack gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Kausch goes for an armbar but Jaggerrjack turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Jaggerrjack. Kausch controls Jaggerrjack momentarily but Jaggerrjack frees himself.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Grimmjow Jaggerrjack. Well Jaggerrjack has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Svensson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Svensson digs a good hook to King's body.
Svensson misses with a straight left. King doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Svensson throws a series of punches but King avoids them all with ease. King keeps the fight on the outside. King avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Svensson is not content to let King control the position. King has hold of Svensson's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Svensson tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - King cranks the arm and Svensson screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Svensson, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from shien misses. dead shien seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Gable shoots in and drives through. shien sprawls well. Gable shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. BOOM! Gable connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rogers swats away the attempt to clinch by Dux. Dux tried to score with a low kick but Rogers checks it. No joy there for Rogers, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Dux throws the kick towards the body but Rogers avoids it. Dux feints and as Rogers raises his hands in defense, Dux changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rogers lands some strikes from the bottom. Dux slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Dux tries to free his leg and advance position but Rogers is retaining full guard. Rogers trying to control the position here. Dux is taking a break and basically stalling. The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Buenafe shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Meite napping and manages to drive through into side control! Meite is trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Meite dodges the ground and pound from Buenafe. Meite tries to buck Buenafe off but Buenafe is having none of it. Meite is trying to control Buenafe's posture but Buenafe avoids it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Buenafe grinds an elbow into Meite's temple. Buenafe connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Meite some visible discomfort.

Solomon Meite is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Meite misses with a takedown and Buenafe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Buenafe advances position into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Buenafe has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Buenafe shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Meite manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Buenafe distracts Meite with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Buenafe wants to control from the top but Meite keeps moving. Meite avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Buenafe makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Meite avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Buenafe cracks Meite with a solid left hand. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Chmielewski tries to get to full guard but Johnson has control of the leg. Johnson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
