The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford misses with a looping right.
Thompson throws a jab when Ford was well out of range.
Ford tries to bum rush Thompson with a series of wild strikes but Thompson uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A jab from Thompson does it's job there.
Ford dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Ford tries a head kick but it misses.

Ford changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Thompson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ford circles away quickly and effectively.
Thompson takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Ford stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
A left and a right from Ford both land. Nice combination.

and Ford counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Ford lands a head kick. Thompson smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Thompson lands a nice hook to Ford's body. Ford takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Christian Thompson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Ford connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Danga de danga de dang - Ford scores with a four punch combination!
Thompson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ford counters with a good, hard body kick but Thompson shrugs it off.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Ford sprawls well. Ford wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Thompson gets slowly back to his feet.

Ford fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ford scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

Ford connects with a high kick.

Thompson is rocked!
Whack! Ford lands a heavy head kick that drops Thompson. The ref tackles Ford to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Thompson was done.
