6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kellen Smith! The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Valeri Chadov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kwasi misses with a series of wild punches.
Kwasi wants to clinch up but Smith keeps it at a distance. Kwasi will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kwasi throws a right and a left that both miss. Smith dodges the punch combination from Kwasi.

It looks like Thabo Kwasi has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith lands a couple of digs. Smith stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kwasi swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kwasi utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Smith stands and throws Kwasi's legs to the side, diving into side control. Kwasi tries to bench press Smith off him but Smith keeps the position. Smith tries to advance to mount but Kwasi denies him. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Smith throws an elbow but Kwasi slips to the side and avoids it well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Kwasi misses with the combination.

Kwasi is doing well to control the position and prevent Smith from advancing to side control. Smith is looking to advance position but Kwasi won't allow it. Smith is trying to control the action in half guard but Kwasi is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kwasi is looking to control Smith's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kwasi avoid being mounted? Kwasi is trying to stand up here but Smith is controlling him well. Kwasi is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Smith controlling the pace. Smith has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! molo swats away the attempt to clinch by Ferguson. Ferguson tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but molo was well out of range. Poor timing from Ferguson. Ferguson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. molo wants to slow Ferguson down by chopping away at his legs. Ferguson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

molo closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. molo trying to control the position but Ferguson is working away. molo goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ferguson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for molo but great work by Ferguson. Ferguson stands up. molo tries to close the distance and clinch but Ferguson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

That's better than molo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! molo punching from mount but Ferguson doing a good job of avoiding damage. Ferguson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

molo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ferguson is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. molo sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. molo looks to be working for a triangle here. Ferguson has picked molo up and slammed him! molo can't keep hold of the triangle and Ferguson manages to pass to side control! molo tries to bench press Ferguson off him but Ferguson keeps the position. molo can't do much from the bottom here. Ferguson decides to stand back up. The fight stays on the outside here - Ferguson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. molo fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Ferguson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. molo moves forwards but Ferguson connects with a nice, crisp jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ferguson closes the distance and pushes molo back into the cage. molo tries to pull guard but Ferguson holds him up against the cage and eventually molo drops back down to his feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Bruder's calf. Johnson throws a series of punches but Bruder avoids them all with ease. Bruder moves into the clinch. Bruder leaning against his opponent.
Bruder breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Bruder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bruder throws and elbow that misses. Johnson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bruder's guard. Nice move by Johnson! Johnson content to stall in guard here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Congo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Congo won't allow Sik to sweep him here. Congo scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Sik has momentary wrist control but Congo slips an elbow through the middle. Sik is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control. Congo won't allow Sik to sweep him here. Congo is stalling in the full guard. Sik keeping moving, preventing Congo from controlling successfully.

Congo is in close to Sik's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Congo passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sik taking a bit of punishment here - Congo scoring with strikes. Congo tries for a kimura but Sik is defending well. Congo has knee on belly and moves into mount. Congo tries to control but Sik wriggling away. Congo pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Congo trying to control but he's not successful this time. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He's almost out here... but no, Congo gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Congo wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sik, who protects the arm well. Sik tries to get back to half guard but can't. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Congo wants to control but Sik is keeping him busy. Congo controlling the position from side mount. You can see the frustration on Sik's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Sik manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Congo is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sik's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sik's back! Congo is trying to stick to Sik's back but Sik is turning into Congo. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Congo's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sik. Sik throwing strikes but missing. Congo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Congo is trying to control. Sik wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Sik tries to kick Congo off but Congo keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Congo is looking to take a break and control but Sik is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Congo wants to pass to mount but Sik is defending the position. Congo scoring with strikes to the body and head. Congo controlling the action here.

Cope cracks Carpet with an open hand slap. Cope throws a solid leg kick but Carpet takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Cope. Cope lands a jab to the nose. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Carpet checks a leg kick. Cope lands a head shot. Carpet shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Carpet is figuring out what he wants to do next. Carpet wants to work for an arm triangle but Cope is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's one minute gone in the round. Carpet is trying to move to mount but Cope reverses beautifully and ends up in Carpet's guard. Cope postures up in Carpet's guard and throws a big left but Carpet blocks it. Cope stays in close to Carpet's body and controls the position. Carpet wants to hit a switch here but Cope passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Carpet there! Cope misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Cope wants to control but Carpet has made it back to half guard. Nice work. Carpet is controlling Cope's trapped leg to prevent Cope from advancing to side control. Cope thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Carpet to regain full guard. Cope tries to free his leg and advance position but Carpet is retaining full guard. Cope gets to his feet - Carpet follows without any prompting. Carpet moves out of range of the strikes. Carpet shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cope defends it nicely. Cope connects with a crisp jab.

Cope displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Carpet throws out the jab. Carpet dives in and grabs Cope's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cope pushes down on Carpet's head and hops out. Cope throws a nice inside leg kick. Cope misses with a low kick. Cope chopping away at his opponent's legs.

Cope throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Carpet throws a series of punches but Cope avoids them all with ease. Cope throws a leg kick but Carpet moved away. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Cope lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Carpet has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Carpet and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Cope fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Nice shot by Cope. Carpet steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Cope. Cope misses with a low kick.
Cope wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Carpet misses with an uppercut. Cope saw that one coming. Carpet waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Cope. Carpet checks the leg kick nicely there.

Carpet shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Carpet was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Cope tries to control Carpet's body but Carpet pushes him off. Cope squirms to his side and now Carpet has his back! Cope trying to control but not successfully. Carpet is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Cope is defending well though. Carpet let's go of the attempt for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Carpet tries to keep control of the position but Cope is staying busy. Carpet somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back. Aladin Carpet has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Carpet seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Cope's chin but Cope turns very nicely into Carpet's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Cope.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Cope loads up on a big right hand but Carpet slips the punch. Mike Cope is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Cope scores with a body shot.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silver looks to land a left hand but Bean moved out of range nicely. Silver slips a straight right by Bean. Bean lands a head shot. Bean moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Silver wants to clinch. Silver throws a head kick but Bean moves out of range.
Bean throws a head kick that half lands.
Bean shoots for a double leg takedown but Silver sprawls well. He's pushed Bean's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bean lunges at Silver with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Silver's hand. Bean swings away with a leg kick that misses. The fight stays on the outside here - Silver looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Silver avoids the body shot from Bean.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bean shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Bean blocks a low kick nicely. Bean scores with a nice body kick.
Bean throws a sloppy head kick and Silver moves out of range easily. Silver tries to close the distance and clinch but Bean swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Bean changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Silver tries to avoid it but Bean manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Silver to the ground. Silver escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Anderman Silver has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ron Bean. Bean swats away the attempt to clinch by Silver. Bean scores a takedown into full mount! Silver is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Raskalnikov lands a with a good body shot. Raskalnikov wants to clinch up but Wegesin keeps it at a distance. Raskalnikov throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Raskalnikov misses with a leg kick. Raskalnikov with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Raskalnikov tries to land a front kick but Wegesin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Raskalnikov goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Wegesin keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Wegesin sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Raskalnikov defending well though. Wegesin slows the pace down in half guard. Wegesin working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Raskalnikov's thigh. Raskalnikov counters though and makes it back to full guard. Raskalnikov is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wegesin throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Raskalnikov works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Raskalnikov avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Raskalnikov has his foot on Wegesin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Wegesin works his way back into a safe position though.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Raskalnikov plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Raskalnikov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Wegesin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Raskalnikov misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Wegesin works a leg free and moves into half guard. Wegesin tries to pass to full mount but Raskalnikov defends it. Wegesin passes to side control. Wegesin tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Raskalnikov keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wegesin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Wegesin frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Wegesin looking to ground and pound but Raskalnikov is blocking nicely.

Alcoubra tries to avoid it but Bunga manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Alcoubra to the ground. Alcoubra escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Nice takedown defense from Alcoubra. No joy for Bunga on that attempt. Bunga dives in and grabs Alcoubra's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alcoubra pushes down on Bunga's head and hops out. Sallah Alcoubra has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stomp Bunga. Alcoubra throws an overhand right from the outside, which connects and sends Bunga stumbling backwards into the cage! Bunga bounces back off the cage towards Alcoubra, who cracks him with a two punch combination that drops him to his knees! Alcoubra lands two more shots before the referee has chance to intervene - what a finish! Alcoubra celebrates with his corner as the crowd cheer loudly.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jab by Battle. Hughes takes a swing at Battle's ribcage but misses. Hughes throws a jab but it's blocked by Battle. Battle closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Battle throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Battle misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Battle counters with a thumping low kick. Battle fails to land with a series of punches.
Battle lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Mark Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Battle thows a body shot but no joy. Battle lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Battle throws a hook to the side of Hughes's head but Hughes sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Battle looks to land a combination but Hughes avoids it well. Battle throws a series of punches but Hughes avoids them all with ease. A combination from Battle does no damage. Battle jabbing away but nothing is landing. Hughes lands a left and a right that send Battle crashing to the mat, dazed. Hughes thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
It looks like Andre Battle has been cut. Battle drops his hands momentarily. Hughes doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Battle staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Battle doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
