Rape lands with a hook. Peixoto tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Rape scores with a crisp jab that stopped Peixoto in his tracks.
Rape lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Rape cracks Peixoto with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Peixoto falls to his knees and Rape doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

De Jong lands a brutal head kick. Cies looks out on his feet and De Jong throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!

Kent fails to land with a series of punches.
Kent changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Trager tries to avoid it but Kent manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Trager to the ground. Trager escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kent gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Trager to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Trager has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kent to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Trager is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kent pulls down on the head and he's put Trager to sleep! This one is all over!

Brutal finish.

Mir has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Burt finds it's way round the side to connect with Mir's head.

It looks like Frank Mir has been cut.
Mir takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Burt rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Mir moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
No joy there for Burt, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mir gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Left hook, right uppercut from Burt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burt throws out a powerful jab.
Burt uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mir has time to react.

Burt has Mir up against the cage in a clinch.
Burt throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Mirs head.
Mir wants to break the clinch but can't.

Burt breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Burt lands a lovely overhand right.
Mir walks into a left hand.

Burt sends Mir crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Burt is motioning to the referee to let Mir up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

That has opened up Frank Mir's cut even more.

Hinterhuba tries to close the distance and clinch but Steel swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Steel will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hinterhuba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Hinterhuba shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Steel pinned against the cage. Steel gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Donk. Steel catches Hinterhuba right on the button with a cross.
Steel stuns Hinterhuba with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Hinterhuba takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Steel's corner calls for a 1-2. Steel obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Steel lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hinterhuba fails in his attempt to clinch.

Steel lands a left and a right that send Hinterhuba crashing to the mat, dazed. Steel thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Hinterhuba is rocked!

Hinterhuba tries to clinch up.
Oh Hinterhuba is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Steel feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hinterhuba sprawling to the canvas! Hinterhuba rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Steel finish him?!
Steel walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Hinterhuba drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Steel swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Hinterhuba's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:18 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Julius Steel!
